Question.
What we as a LEOfinance authors can do to help HIVE on search engine?
I mean look at the keywords : "HIVE blockchain" is dominated by this commercial project.
Is this something they have claimed officially on google like those blue ticks?
Or is this a position we can replace with community efforts?

I don't think they will ever replace it because that HIVE is an actual company listed on the stock market. At least I think it will be very tough unless we become as recognized as Twitter is to normal people right now.

I agree. They have links to some major media outlets.
All we can do is keep churning out content on our decentralized hive blockchain.

Perhaps that's the keyword for us: "decentralized hive blockchain".
The other day on one of the financial channels I heard mention of that other Hive, so it's media presence is for real.

Yea we can only keep trying. However I think we can probably push things like Splinterlands and LeoFinance up more towards the top. Except I wonder what will happen since there is already a LEO token outside of HIVE.

Google rankings aren't something you can claim, so technically we can overtake the other Hive Blockchain in rankings.
However, as they're an established company with a much older domain and links pointing to them from Bloomberg etc, it will be tough.
To do it, we need to pick a few key pieces of evergreen content and optimise them for certain keywords.
Do you know any long-form, evergreen pieces of content that we can try to get ranking?
For example, I'm trying to get our Hive crypto guide to rank for some terms around the keywords of 'hive crypto' instead.
If we create new Hive related posts, link to that one under anchor text similar to the keywords you want to rank for.
That's all we can do.

So if they have older content ranking and have certain keywords and the pages linking to them. Can we do the reverse engineering and do the same for the HIVE? Like writing exactly those set of keyword based articles but in HIVE context so that the buzz that is created on those keywords would point our HIVE instead of theirs? I don't know how to find out popular pages of HIVE (commercial) so is there any tool to find out for which keywords they are ranking or have heavy links?
The idea is to write a post using the older article as a link in the new one. This helps to reaffirm the value of the older one, hopefully getting it to rank better.
This is a way to do things with a @splinterlands topic since there were some early Leofinance posts about that.

Reverse engineering as you suggest is possible, but we wouldn't be able to use a number of their keywords just because of their nature. For those keywords we can copy, we use them in the ways recommended by @forexbrokr, @hitmeasap, @taskmaster4450le, and other SEO experts here.
SEO is a long game, and it never ends. Newer content benefits from older content (in terms of authority), and older content benefits from newer content (in therms of freshness). It's like a circle, and circles have neither beginning nor end.

I think @hitmeasap's post on SEO is a good place to find which posts are getting us the most traffic.

No I meant the commercial HIVE site, where to find out out which pages of their projects get traffic?
No their traffic is coming from highly ranked sites like Bloomberg and Wall Street Journal. We need to get Leofinance ranking higher in what it is already having.
Same with Hive.
So the only way is to keep writing articles with links to older content on Leofinance which will help.

I have no real idea...but I would guess its because they are commercially available so their stock holders might look into their info every once in a while.

Great question and @forexbrokr handled that part of the situation.
What I think is that we want to get our rankings for lesser known ones such as decentralized hive blockchain. That wont get as many searches but we can rank higher in something like that.
For me, it is about highlighting as many different keywords as possible. It is like throwing toilet paper at the wall. There might be some science to this but a lot of it is art.
Just keep churning out content, in the form of posts and comments and we will be fine. Time is one of the things that is an ally in this.

It's amazing how many keywords-- a misnomer; it's more like phrases, but here we are-- exist for any given search we want to make.
We may need to post (just as an exercise in brainstorming) every possible keyword we can think of regarding Hive in general and LeoFinance in particular. This post can be done in 2 parts:
It can take a while to generate long-tail keywords, but they pay off in the long run.

This is the way :)
