Newbies, Novices and Experts - you all are invited!
Tomorrow at Noon (12:00 - UTC minus 4) I'm going to post up a starter tease for anyone wanting to discuss any aspect of Splinterlands - oh, what the hell - we can talk about any Play-to-Earn game you feel like talking about. The purpose: to increase comment activity on the slow weekend days (and help to meet the comment goal for the month).
This is a trial run on my part hoping to help LMT in some little way. As it's an Inaugural of sorts, I'm going to donate a prize for this trial. And the prize is (drumroll)...
So, how do you win? Well...I've been thinking about it and have decided since this is my trial run and my prize I'm going to be totally subjective in picking a winner - all you have to do is participate in the thread discussion and post the funniest comment. That's it, just make me laugh!
All comments to count for this experiment must fall under the starter thread. I do not wish to spend my evening searching for game content throughout LMT to assess the viability of this experiment.
If this trial works out and looks like it may gain some traction, we'll give it a go for a couple of weeks. If there is little or no interest, oh well, at least I tried.
Hopefully I will see a bunch of you all Noon tomorrow.

Spinner? Oh I loved The Spinners.
Since many of us here are into future technology, I thought this video featuring the super cool song by the Spinners might be appropriate. It is funny too!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The Spinners plus Guardians of the Galaxy - how could you go wrong!!!
LOL
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Rocky, my parrot, loves Rythm & Blues like me. Everytime I put on my music channel, he bobs his head with the beat. Old bird, like me, has rythm!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I'd love to see a video of you two bobbing to the beat. LOL.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I will see you in about an hour if I have the time right. Gives me time to clean up the kitchen and wash my tail. Kudos Kevin for making this contest! You rock old son!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You have the time wrong Sarge. It is now only 07:01 - the thread will start a few minutes before noon (12:00). Have to wait 5 more hours for all the fun. Sorry my friend!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I am USA Eastern time. I get why you use UTC, but I always get confused.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It confuses me too. Anytime I have to use it I have to go back and do another internet search on it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Lol. I am always reminded of Gumdams when I see this card if you remove the chains.
I'll try to see if I can participate.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
If possible, please do. It will be nice to have some more experienced players join in.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Awesome idea Kevin. Here's my entry. I can't comment funny but I can make memes. 😶
I am confused AF.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Lol. I think they want to revamp things so that gold chicken might not be as useful.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's bad because I was thinking to buy. I will wait for Chaos cards to come out first. Until then I keep accumulating DEC ✌️
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This haha.
PLOT vs Gold cards vs DEC.
What's the best investment right now?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
PLOT for sure. Especially if you don't have any yet. You also get 10,000 pts for the SPS airdrop by owning it so you're getting some SPS out of the deal as well.
Then DEC. Again, airdrop points. I'd actually pool the DEC with BUSD in CUB and double your airdrop points. You'll also earn CUB and earn SPS, which you can then stake and earn MORE CUB and earn MORE SPS. Earning interest on your interest. Isn't that called compounding somewhere?
Gold cards are great. They also add a nice chunk to your collection points so you get more SPS. I'm not sure if they'll go up much in value however. In fact, if I had to guess, I would say they will probably decrease in value once the Chaos cards come out. Once those are sold out for a while, I would expect the prices to go back up again, but people will probably mostly look for cheaper options until those options no longer exist. Where they can shine is either in renting them out (maybe 100 DEC/day depending on what it is), or in actually using it to win battles. I think you get a little DEC bonus for winning battles while using them. They also tend to be stronger cards so you might have a leg up on your opponents, thus earning you more DEC. Like I said, definitely worth having but not something I'm buying at the present time.

I like it !
But please, resubmit it in a little over two hours when I post the official thread. Need to keep things neat, orderly and fair!
Also please come and join us for what hopefully is a lively discussion on Splinterlands and play-to-earn gaming! All to aid the comment count on LMT.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
For sure Kevin! This was a trial run of your trial run. 😬 I will resubmit it again and join the convo.
Splintertalk on LMT. 👻
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Gotta love the trial runs! All part of the process!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes Kevin. Please do this every week. I can have it everyday as well. 😬
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Once a week is enough. Remember, the goal is to add comments during the slow weekend hours. Plus, with everything else I have going on, once a week is about all the time I can devote to it.
But first I need to see how this trial run goes - participation wise. If I see a decent turn out, I'll try it again next week. But if it flops it's a dead deal.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Great idea Kev!
I don't have much to contribute yet because I'm way too nig of a n00b but I guess I can learn a thing or ten
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Post questions then - hopefully they'll get answered.
Post complaints - post general game bitches.
Post about other games you want info on.
Post ANYTHING Play-to-Earn Gaming related. The topic is wide open, plus remember I dangled a neat prize (just be funny).

One of the issues that I have with DeFi projevts is the fact that DeFi products are quite new which made them prone to errors that normally create vulnerability for hacks.
That's true. It's one of the reasons why reputation is going to be very important going forward.
And also a good deal of risk management
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I believe that Defi projects will be able to stand firm with years. Regulation may not be bad if the Regulators will create a comfortable environment for everyone and not just for themselves
Yes, I think that the DeFi projects that can prove to be solid will be able to last for years to come but many others will be unsustainable and will fail.
That's why I try to stick to the ones I think have the best chance of making it
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's a natural process for all things as they develop. The hacks will naturally occur but hopefully other Defi systems are paying attention and patching it up as well. Then again you never know if the hack is an insider job
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Getting hacked sucks (especially when it happens to you), but it gives the other DeFi platforms an opportunity to tie up loose ends in their security and coding.
Heck, Dogecoin got hacked just a few weeks after it was released in late 2013. It tied up loose ends and made changes, and it managed to survive; look where it is today.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea getting hacked isn't a problem. It's what they do after the hack that is the issue.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Spoken by someone who has never lost their money to a hacker. lol I think those people would tend to differ with your statement that "getting hacked isn't a problem".
I haven't either so I'm not throwing shade. I'm just saying that it IS a problem. Every time. Regardless of "what they do after". It costs people lots of money. It fosters a lack of trust by newbies and inhibits crypto from going mainstream. And it invites regulators in to put their greasy little paws on everything. It needs to stop and people need to pay attention to who they're dealing with.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well...I haven't lost money so I can only say from what I know. At least right now I would say the after effects are going to be quite important going forward to whether or not you can trust them as a platform.
I remember Leo said their wLEO pool was hacked before and their actions afterwards was what made people believe in them afterwards.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's true. Only the ones that keep learning and developing to create their project better, will win this race. One should proceed with caution before putting any serious money into these projects.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It is the quirk with all technology.
Look at how long Windows spent trying to clear up bugs.
30 years and counting.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Trying to clear up bugs? That's news to me!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Can't believe I successfully day-traded CAKEPOP...despite the 14% slippage ;).
I'm sure I'm going to regret it anyway, as the thing seems to be in free fall :P.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Ouch, quite a drop
Good thing you managed to profit. Good job
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I wonder how much that will affect future IDOs and the participation rate.
Good job on the day trade. Glad you made some money.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea. Do you know if they address the issues people pointed out?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Are you already out of your position or are you still in one?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I'm a bit in doubt, but still in a position. Clearly the curve is going nowhere but down but at least I got a few $ of CUB out of it.
Since it's a rather small sum, I might just leave the position hanging for now.
Overall, I think this particular trade will be loss-making ;).
REMINDER!!!
Get thy #CANDIES ASAP.
They might be running out. The virtual world is not what it use to be.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
If you were to be a marketer, this would be my best line. Message well passed hahaha.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
fiddy candies on lock!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thanks I just collected my daily stash. It's too bad it went back to 10 today.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Another 100 coming tomorrow. I haven't missed a day for a while but it really is amazing how often this reminder comes into play as far as me remembering. I never miss a day of #LMT but I would definitely miss my candies here and there without it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It really sucks when that happens.
A couple weeks ago I was very sick and not really active on HIVE so I completely forgot about candies for 2 days or so
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
During my trip down the SEO rabbit hole I took a break to get both CANDIES and DIAMONDS. SEO post is in the can.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I got mine and filling my Candies Bag! I will be ready for Halloween!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Grabbed another 20 to the jar, which now holds over 5k!
Candielicious!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Bitcoin is back above 50,000 and Hive at $ 1 I think this Christmas is going to be really fun, what do you think?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well I think it will be higher at the end of the year but the market is a unpredictable beast sometimes. At least the indicators tends to point towards going up.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Am I dreaming guys? I know it's a short-lived pump just like all others that happened before but it's great to see HIVE Touching $1.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Do you think this is a good time to power up or power up should be done when the HIVE is low priced?
It's good time to sell and buy it once again when it's low and then power up. 😬 I am pretty sure it's going to come back in $0.6-0.7 range.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Build when prices are low and take profits when prices are high is the general rule of thumb.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This rule works always!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Until it doesn't. lol There was an article out not that long ago that talks about the fact that if you took the top 10 days of gains out of bitcoin, it would be down overall. In other words, if you try and trade things you want to own long-term, it's very likely you'll miss the majority of the gains and you'll get rekt.
It's always a good time to power up HIVE if you are in it for the long-term. I won't be selling any until probably at least $10. Whether that takes 6 months or 6 years....
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's how I play it too. I'm in constant HODL mode!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This makes a lot of sense Dagger if you are a long-term HODLer. That trick is for traders who keep moving money here and there.
Hive is a great long-term option. You can always grow it by staking and putting it to use.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think it's always a good time to power up.
We still haven't seen a fraction of Hive is going to be in the future
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I saw the huge pump. Let's hope the price stays elevated but I do think it will drop back down.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah. Same here. So much pump within a few hours seems unreasonable but it's great to see it happening. We have a new ATH now.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Not yet. It pumped here a few months ago and it also hit over $8.00 back when it was still called that other thing.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Oh, I didn't consider that. I am taking Hive as a new independent blockchain and counting the time since it became a new Coin.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well, yeah, technically it's could be a new ATH since it wasn't actually called HIVE when it hit those numbers. That said, it's kind of like the record books for when a sports franchise moves cities. The Minnesota Twins, for instance, were actually the Washington Senators until they moved to Minnesota in 1961. So, while there are records set for the Twins, most records are attached to the actual franchise, meaning that in order to break team records, a player has to better anything done while the franchise was in Washington as well.
Semantics, I grant you. The price is the price. But I just got my 4 year badge for being on Hive. Hive hasn't existed for 4 years so how could I get that badge? Because technically the "franchise" includes the time before the fork as well....
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I too think the price will retreat some, but I'm hoping it will only fall to the 0.80 range - call it the 'Splinterlands Effect'. Then hopefully another leg up when some of the upcoming great projects are finally launched.
I see HIVE $1.00 or more sustained by year's end.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
❤️ This. Hive's development pace has been great this year. The ecosystem is expanding and projects like Splinterlands and Leo Finance are playing a major role in our success. Onwards and upwards!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hive at $1.020 - fucking beautiful!!!!!!!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's about $0.85 now. It's probably going to be a volatile next few days.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah, I've been watching the price slide around all morning. I just hope it stays above 0.80.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That will be the line in the sand.
If it drops below it, I think we head back into the 60s.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Question.
What we as a LEOfinance authors can do to help HIVE on search engine?
I mean look at the keywords : "HIVE blockchain" is dominated by this commercial project.
Is this something they have claimed officially on google like those blue ticks?
Or is this a position we can replace with community efforts?
I don't think they will ever replace it because that HIVE is an actual company listed on the stock market. At least I think it will be very tough unless we become as recognized as Twitter is to normal people right now.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I agree. They have links to some major media outlets.
All we can do is keep churning out content on our decentralized hive blockchain.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Perhaps that's the keyword for us: "decentralized hive blockchain".
The other day on one of the financial channels I heard mention of that other Hive, so it's media presence is for real.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea we can only keep trying. However I think we can probably push things like Splinterlands and LeoFinance up more towards the top. Except I wonder what will happen since there is already a LEO token outside of HIVE.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Google rankings aren't something you can claim, so technically we can overtake the other Hive Blockchain in rankings.
However, as they're an established company with a much older domain and links pointing to them from Bloomberg etc, it will be tough.
To do it, we need to pick a few key pieces of evergreen content and optimise them for certain keywords.
Do you know any long-form, evergreen pieces of content that we can try to get ranking?
For example, I'm trying to get our Hive crypto guide to rank for some terms around the keywords of 'hive crypto' instead.
If we create new Hive related posts, link to that one under anchor text similar to the keywords you want to rank for.
That's all we can do.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
So if they have older content ranking and have certain keywords and the pages linking to them. Can we do the reverse engineering and do the same for the HIVE? Like writing exactly those set of keyword based articles but in HIVE context so that the buzz that is created on those keywords would point our HIVE instead of theirs? I don't know how to find out popular pages of HIVE (commercial) so is there any tool to find out for which keywords they are ranking or have heavy links?
The idea is to write a post using the older article as a link in the new one. This helps to reaffirm the value of the older one, hopefully getting it to rank better.
This is a way to do things with a @splinterlands topic since there were some early Leofinance posts about that.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Reverse engineering as you suggest is possible, but we wouldn't be able to use a number of their keywords just because of their nature. For those keywords we can copy, we use them in the ways recommended by @forexbrokr, @hitmeasap, @taskmaster4450le, and other SEO experts here.
SEO is a long game, and it never ends. Newer content benefits from older content (in terms of authority), and older content benefits from newer content (in therms of freshness). It's like a circle, and circles have neither beginning nor end.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think @hitmeasap's post on SEO is a good place to find which posts are getting us the most traffic.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
No I meant the commercial HIVE site, where to find out out which pages of their projects get traffic?
No their traffic is coming from highly ranked sites like Bloomberg and Wall Street Journal. We need to get Leofinance ranking higher in what it is already having.
Same with Hive.
So the only way is to keep writing articles with links to older content on Leofinance which will help.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I have no real idea...but I would guess its because they are commercially available so their stock holders might look into their info every once in a while.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Great question and @forexbrokr handled that part of the situation.
What I think is that we want to get our rankings for lesser known ones such as decentralized hive blockchain. That wont get as many searches but we can rank higher in something like that.
For me, it is about highlighting as many different keywords as possible. It is like throwing toilet paper at the wall. There might be some science to this but a lot of it is art.
Just keep churning out content, in the form of posts and comments and we will be fine. Time is one of the things that is an ally in this.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's amazing how many keywords-- a misnomer; it's more like phrases, but here we are-- exist for any given search we want to make.
We may need to post (just as an exercise in brainstorming) every possible keyword we can think of regarding Hive in general and LeoFinance in particular. This post can be done in 2 parts:
It can take a while to generate long-tail keywords, but they pay off in the long run.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This is the way :)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Today you have seen the huge rise of the Hive a few months ago it was around 0.28 and now 0.9 only in one night has risen more than 50%
Are you playing Rising Star? The starbits market seems to had quite a few people who dumped to get some HIVE.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes I play Risingstar
We will see what how this holds up.
I wonder if we will drop below the 80 cent level.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I was messing around on imgur this morning and found this image. Would someone explain it to me?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Lol I guess he thinks that having money is nice and he doesn't have to financially worry about his bills.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's not about the money itself. It's about the freedom that money offers-- more options. It sucks doing things because all other options are unavailable.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That is how the mindset works. Those with the accumulation one end up questioning every expenditure.
Those who freely spend will never question what is being bought.

News about etherum
Ethereum records negative daily issuance for first time after EIP-1559
What you think about this?
Negative issuance. What does that mean?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
From what he said, I was thinking that there was more ETH burned compared to how much ETH was generated on that day.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The total amount of #ETH goes down.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thanks for the info Task. I got it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think Ethereum is going to end up like Bitcoin in the hands of Wall Street.
It is not going to be for the average person.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Totally agree. Unless and until they can fix the fees, noone will be able to afford to use it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Ethereum is already centrally controlled, so it's not a stretch to see it cross over into the legacy world.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You said a mouthful and I am in full agreement.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's bad to turn ETH deflationary. If it continues, its bullish on prices but it would also mean higher gas fees.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I agree. It is an overall hindrance to the expansion of the network.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I'm telling you guys, PulseChain is coming. It could be a big nothing....or it could turn the ERC20 market on it's head. Transactions will be pennies. Period. It is a POS network rather than POW and there will be like a trillion Pulse tokens out there so they'll be used as "gas" but they won't cost hardly anything. And ALL of the Ethereum chain will be forked. ERC20s and Ethereum itself. Although Ethereum will NOT be duplicated. You'll only get one Pulse for one Ethereum. So nothing. The other ERC20s though you'll get one pERC20 for every one ERC20. And then there will be a bridge between the ETH chain and the Pulse chain. They're also forking Uniswap and will be creating pERC20/ERC20 liquidity pools. The price discovery on these things could be insane.
In the meantime, HEX continues to moon....
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Beyond the hard fork Ethereum just made to implement Proof of Stake, I have absolutely no idea what's happening in Etherworld.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Ethereum will soon be out of the reach of a good many retail investors. Fees for transactions are outrageous and just continue to go higher. Us small investors just can't afford it. I no longer use Exodus Wallet for this very reason!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Totally agree. I'm serious. Do some research on the PulseChain. Get any ERC20s you have on CEXs into your own wallet (metamask, ledger, etc.) because they will be doing a snapshot on these things and will not be duplicating any of them held on CEXs. Most of us should probably be doing that anyway. Not your keys, not your crypto and all....
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
By the way, congrats on winning the card! Personally, I didn't find anything you said funny but what do I know. lol :-)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Blockchain gaming is the FAD right now. EXODE is one game that intrigued me recently. Obviously, I listened to the Cryptomanics Podcast with the game's developer @elindos. So I bought some packs and boosters! Did a post to explain my overall experience. I just want to let you guys know that their BOOSTERs are running fast. So if you already have Starter Packs or thinking to get one, buy the BOOSTERs too. The sale is ending on 7th Sept.
Is this going to be the next Splinterlands? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe even better. But it looks so much fun. DYOR. ;)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I have a bit of @exodegame assets. Nothing huge mind you, but I have played around with it a little. It isn't Mario Bros. I can tell you that! Strategy game of the highest order.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's right Dan. It requires skill & strategy, apart from bare min. initial investment.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Oh I plan on dropping by Exode later to buy some boosters. I am hoping HIVE pumps back up for me though.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
And I did go back to buy 2 boosters. I did open 1 and left the other one incase it moons. Unfortunately I didn't get good cards for my pack opening.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It was a great interview. glad some people are jumping on board. I still have about 100 Boosters still unopened.
I really have to get the time to thoroughly investigate the game.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You made me jump on it. I made @olebulls jump on it. Chain reaction continues!
Same. So much stuff to learn!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Man! Got legendaries! Bought 150 boosters or something lol! Gonna buy a couple more🤣
Haha sweeeet. Staph captain! Leave some for me as well. 😂😂😂
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah, I bought some boosters the other day. I actually tried to buy 20 and accidentally double-clicked and bought 40. I don't have time to play it right now but hopefully this winter. It looks very cool.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Did you open them Dagger? Got some cool cards to start with.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
After I commented on SEO and using LeoFinance as the publishing domain for posts, I went down the rabbit hole for a full-blown post. It'll be in the can before I go to bed.
It turns out that I missed the biggest news since Dogecoin was mooning toward USD 1.00:
Yesterday HIVE was around USD 0.65. As I post this comment HIVE is at USD 0.974.
This is what I get for going down the rabbit hole.
@zonadigital21 tagged LeoFinance, but I saw this development at D.Buzz. It's turning out that D.Buzz can be useful to us after all.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
si me pareceio buena idea para mostrar el maximo de HIVE , sin dudas muchos se lo perdieron , pero yo logre tomar una buena imagen del HIVE , saludos y gracias por etiquetarme
We are going to get a lot of ranking of Hive based upon the number of posts that I saw today. There is obviously a lot not made from the Leofiance front end.

There is a book "4 day work week"where they have theories of replacing some jobs.
The thing is pandemic has shown people that spending all the time at home and with family is NOT productive and may result in toxicity in relationships. Too much exposure and all that.
Tim Ferris took this idea even further with The 4-Hour Workweek
It's more of a self-help book but Ferris is a good writer. Worth the time
https://www.amazon.com/4-Hour-Workweek-Escape-Live-Anywhere/dp/0307465357
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I don't know of any book titles, but I have to believe that someone wrote a book discussing the 4-day work week. If the usual places don't have it for sale, maybe a PDF version of some book about the 4-day work week exists for a download.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You can check amazon for "The 4 Day Week: How the Flexible Work Revolution Can Increase Productivity, Profitability and Well-being, and Create a Sustainable Future" by Andrew Barnes. The book is on how companies are going to push the workers to work remotely and in the process the traditional work hours and work days would be adjusted.
I would think crypto jobs should continue to grow like wildfire.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Wow! Great comment, dagger! I love reading your insights.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hey, thanks! You, too. I love me a good compliment.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
No problem. You certainly deserve it!

Aw shucks! You're going to make me blush.

I think most of the jobs will still be handled by the robots. Once things can be done by a program, those human resources will drop out of the available pool in my opinion.

I'm considering making a career change to work with something more related to blockchain.
But on the other hand, I'm also trying to get rid of any job at all so it's a bit of a pickle lol
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You don't need to make a career change to work with something related to blockchain. You just need to find a way to make blockchain and crypto your side hustle. If you can tie it to your day job (or your desired day job), even better. 2 streams of income are better than just the 1 from the day job.
If the income from the side hustle turns out to be lucrative to the point where you can turn the side hustle into the day job and the actual day job into history, do that. That's the dream!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hehehe yea that's true. I'm trying to do something along those lines but sometimes I feel like I would really enjoy working with blockchain.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
What can you do with blockchain and cryptocurrency?
It's because of these possibilities that I'm interested in cryptocurrency. It's new enough that each of us can find a niche where we can make it big either by direct investment or by helping others make it big.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah that's a good list
I'm considering something along the lines of project/product management on blockchain-related applications and projects. That way I could leverage at least some of my skills and 10+ years of experience in project management
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's what I mean!
Move into blockchain and crypto in a way that makes sense for you and develop that for s 2nd stream of income. Once you know what you're doing and have it going try something else in blockchain and crypto. After a while you may have several projects going in blockchain and crypto. Each project can be its own stream of income
During all this time you still have your day job (even if it's being a student). It will take time to lay the ground work for your blockchain and crypto projects, but one they are in motion they will work for you.
In that way, it's like starting Hive with 0.000 HIVE and minimal Resource Credits: you found a way to go from nothing to where you are today on Hive and at LeoFinance.

Still some FUD out there though....I wonder how far afield they traveled to interview these people? And, more importantly, who funded the survey. That little tidbit of information seems to be missing....

I don't trust it either as the news came out of a telegram group...who knows if they fudged the data and most pollsters tend to be quite bad now adays.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea that's pure FUD alright
Even if the data is accurate, I'm not really too worried. It's a big change and I wasn't expecting that everyone would just play along.
If I'm being honest, I actually expected even more rejection

I often wonder how often the people who are protecting something are actually paid hacks.
I am sure the IMF and associated entities have the desire to see this fail miserably.

WE'VE GOT A RUNNER!!!!!!
And I don't think it's coming back down this time. There will certainly be pullbacks and "dips", but I think the days of accumulating HIVE for less than 50 cents are over.
Anyone else have thoughts on that? How high will this current run take us?
That's $.80 in case you can't read it....
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think it will test the 50 cent again, in few days before breaking out for good.
We shall see. I just can't see it all the way back down to 50 cents, but maybe.... If it gets there, I'll be stacking some more because there's just too much going on inside of it to stay there long.

I've spoken about the fact all of our trading seems to be algo driven, dependent on what STEEM does.
But its exciting to see that in this move, we're seeing STEEM lag.
Is this FINALLY a move based on our better fundamentals?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I would have said "yes" until it ran all the way to $1.06. Now I'm thinking it's another pump. That said, I DO think it will hold higher levels this time around. There's too much shit coming down the pike. HAF, 3SPK, ProjectBlank, not to mention further growth in Splinterlands and other games, and of course LEO and CUB. Hive should be trading between $2-$3 right now IMO. Once this other stuff hits, 2-3x that...
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I hope so! Not sure if we're quite there yet, but this is definitely a good sign!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I would $1 seems like a likely target.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You were right. :-)

Could anyone writing about Hive crypto today, link to our guide?
@taskmaster4450le, a quick edit to include the link anywhere in your latest post would be hugely helpful.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I didn't post about HIVE itself today but rather SEO on Hive blogging platforms. Even so, I went back to my post to backlink to the HIVE Guide.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
What would happen if each of us backlined to a Crypto-Guide as we post comments which mention a Guide we have? Would that be good for us, or would that backfire on us?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It would be okay in the eyes of Google. Anything that isn't 'spammy' is fine (so not like 10 links in the 1 article or editing every post on the same day to put links in).
But you might piss off the author of the original post and not get upvotes? I just feel its more polite to ask lol.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I really think that 0.8 is a much-deserved new support for HIVE. Time will tell but I think we're headed to good things here
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I have a feeling we will retest $0.50 or $0.60 but who knows.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
With 3 hours to go before a new Live Blog and more CANDIES to collect, LEO is at USD 0.338 and HIVE is at USD 0.862.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It seems like the rising HIVE price also resulted in a higher LEO price which is good.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I've said this before: if HIVE goes up, it will drag everything else in the HE with it. This is because all of them are paired against swap.hive. Just like when Bitcoin runs everything else in the market goes up, so to will a rising HIVE drag the prices of everything else up as well.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
We will see if the 80 cents hold. It dropped about 30 cents from the high.
Could be another leg up for Hive.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
$ 125,000 of Cub burned with the first IDO if this continues it could be a turning point for the price of CUB.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes it will definitely help CUB but I still think people need to think about the risks coming from IDOs. There seems to be some red flags with how Cakepop went.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
When all the hype about the first IDO was going on, I had this feeling... not that I had the funds to participate anyway if I wanted to do so. Just dodged a bullet on this one I guess.

Yea everyone will have to go check what's going on with the actual projects before investing. I was convinced by edicted's posts that it wasn't such a good idea.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea, we all hope so. I think these IDOs are really gonna help push CUB forward
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah we will have to see what is taking place. The next ones are going to be bigger. Let us see if they get sold.

We will see what happens. Hard to say. Markets gonna do what they do and whales gonna do whale stuff.

Is anyone pissed that they no longer accept payments in credits for Quest Potions?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Kind of! I was loading up on credits for that... but I guess I can still use them to rent cards so it's not all lost
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Renting cards is a great option.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I still haven't bothered since I bought packs for myself....so I tend to use my own cards.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I too bought a bunch of untamed and dice packs on the secondary market (Wax). And like you I have not felt the need to rent - yet. That time though may be coming soon as I'm going to be needing a higher level summoner so I can play my upgraded cards.
It is nice the option to rent cards like that is available as buying them becomes an expensive proposition.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Renting card isn't that bad but you should try to find good combinations of cards.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes. It seems like something they have no choice but to do because of how far DEC is from the peg though.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes, but...instead of eliminating credits for payment they could have adjusted the DEC price correspondingly. Then as DEC price moves around do a daily readjustment. Not hard to accomplish.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think they addressed that at some point. Something like too many accounts were getting opened and taking advantage of the quest potions. It was being exploited somehow so they left it as is.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I only have 6 credits. I can not buy much with that and do not want to spend my LEO tokens! You can buy credits with all sorts of crypto and tokens.
I have never used Quest Potions.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Truthfully, once the reward cards come back, it is 100% worth it to use the Quest Potions. Getting 6 chests to open instead of 1 increases your odds of getting a card exponentially obviously. And one good card could pay for a LOT of potions...
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
No doubt - I can't wait.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
A lot of people say they aren't worth it. But I use it everyday and have not done bad with it. 4 times I've gotten 2000 DEC. I got a Gold Common (my first and still only gold card). And then there's this beauty:
So the extra chests from quest potions has treated me well.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Oh that is a nice one. Sold mine a while back to invest in LEO projects. I did not know that @splinterlands was going to blow up like it did, at least not this early in the game!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
From time to time I'll rent it out (44.45/day lowest rental), but I'm definitely not ready to sell it - well yet (even though lowest sales price is $115.00)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
YES! That is really annoying. Especially considering they cost $.75 fiat but now cost over $5 each in DEC. Considering the fact that spending DEC not only costs $5 but it loses you airdrop points, it really is a double kick in the nuts. That might sound funny, @kevinnag58, but it hurts!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's absolutely a double hit/ But I think the loss of A.D. points hurts the worse.

As this is the test week for this 'thing' here's the deal:

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
What Splinter types do you use the most?
For me, I tend to use fire, earth and dragon.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Earth and Life are my favorites, although I use death, water, and dragon some as well. I very rarely use fire since the damn summoners are too expensive.
I've got level 4's in life and dragon, a level 3 in death, but only level 2's in earth, fire, and water. Although my level 2 in earth is Mylor which can still compete against higher levels.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Win or lose. Share your next battle.
I lost mine but you can see it here. It was for fun but man I got demolished since my opponent had higher level cards then me.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Will do, but it won't be until much later. Maybe I'll even try the Life Splinter again. I have to win with it sooner or later (don't I?).
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
So, I snuck away for a minute or two and played a Life Splinter battle - and won. you can check it here.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Nice. I am glad it worked out for you. I played a Life battle as well and made use of the enrage ruleset here. It looks like Shield Bearer and Luminous eagle worked for you.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It seems so. Definitely have to remember that combination. Thanks.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You had a very great lineup!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
My most recent battle which was the No Melee Monsters and slow poke ruleset. I won with the Life Splinter! I used this gal as a summoner:
Click the image to watch the battle
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
See? Somehow this post is before my Lorna Shine comment to you but...she's a winner.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I use her quite a bit as she is my best and highest level Life Splinter Summoner.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Not liking Life Splinter too much I stupidily sold one of the two Lorna's I had. The other as I don't really use it I rent for12.50 DEC/day.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Ah I don't have a Lorna but yea she can be annoying to fight against. I find that yodin gives me an edge though.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Cool!
How many Chaos packs are you guys planning to get?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Whatever I can get based on my SPS staked. Honestly I don't expect anything more than a few packs a day at most. I got some untamed that I can sell to fund this adventure.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Personally, I already have enough plus stashed for 100. I'm trying to save up for a land plot (expensive)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea I should of bought land when it was less expensive but I didn't think it was worth it. I am regretting after the fact.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Unfortunately I wasn't playing the game then. Its my understanding they were originally dirt cheap (pun intended)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
$20 I think. I bought 4 of them at the end of July just as things were starting to blow up for $500 total. Now they're each worth that. Personally, I think they will go well into the $1000s of dollars. Right now they're adding over 10,000 users a day. A DAY! By year's end they're talking about having over 1 Million users. There's only 150,000 PLOTS. While not everyone will want one, I think enough people will that the prices will continue to climb, especially if it turns out you can rent them out or build them into resource machines. It will be interesting. Either way, I highly doubt they'll go down much from here. I would think they should retain their value at a minimum so your biggest risk might be the opportunity cost of what else you could be doing with that money. But again, personally I think they're going much higher....
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Geez guys - should I have offered up a prize of 500 DEC to entice you to participate instead of the neat card??????
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Its my understanding the Chaos Packs will be Pre-saled in 4 to 6 weeks. $2/pack but you'll need a voucher obtained from staking SPS. Is anyone excited for this?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hmm I wasnt aware of that
I guess I should look into it because I'm not sure if I have any staked SPS as of now
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You should be checking the SPS you earn daily - earnings are out just after 12:00 New York time daily.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Maybe I will buy, Maybe am not but I am surely going to get at least one PLOT.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well I think there will be value to the Chaos cards, if not immediately in the near future so I'm going to buy the 100 packs like I said earlier. As for the land plot, well...I want one, but $500 is a bit steep! Spending that much on one make me question as to how much of a value run up there's left in them
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Don't forget to post your meme!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
At worst, you can always lease out plots. I think they plan on having that ability. So passive income.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Me! I didn't get to buy any of the other packs so I need to build my cards.
As far as the vouchers go....pretty sure that's only the pre-sale. So while you won't be able to get that many reserved unless you have loads of SPS staked, you should still be able to buy the packs when they release them to the public. Not sure how long they'll last though. Or how many they are selling....?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hmm that makes sense...
I hope they will take into consideration that their userbase is a zillion times bigger now than it was on their last sale
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You think PLOT is expensive now...wait until they start leaking intel on how they're going to be implemented.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I'm planning to get as many as they'll let me buy. I mean not in the 1000s or anything but definitely in the hundreds if possible. When you consider one gold foil card, or a legendary summoner can be sold for potentially over $1000, it just makes sense to get as many swings at it as possible.
I came late to the party and didn't get any of the last packs. I did buy like 3 Amare Dice packs but other than that, I've had to buy all of my cards on the market. Not cheap.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
What Splinter types do you hate using the most?
For me, I tend to hate death splinter the most. At least my leveled cards are untamed and the combinations I make never seem to work that well.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Personally, I don't like the Life Splinter - I just can't seem to figure out how to get a win out of it.
But its funny, my favorite to play is the death splinter. I tend to do well with it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I generally use Shieldbearer as my tank with Luminous eagle as my reach monster then follow up with whatever I feel like using at the time for Life Splinter. Some of my follow up monsters I like are cave slug and light elemental.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I've tried to use Shieldbearer as my tank with no success. But I'll try again using your other suggestions with it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The key to Life is you have to load your back row with cards that can take our the opponents back row while they're forced to fire on your Shieldbearer. I can't tell you how many battles I've won because I take out their back row while losing my Shieldbearer and then they end up with a ranged or non-shooter in the front position and I've got a couple little guys left that can't get hit. I can almost hear my opponent cussing through the screen. lol
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Same strategy I use. Works most times unless I come up against a damn Llama or Kitty!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's funny. Life is probably my favorite Splinter. I've got Lorna Shine 4 for my summoner though so that helps. She gives the Divine Shield ability to the whole team so I can put Shieldbearer in first position and then load the back row with sneak, opportunity, and magic where they'll usually get at least 2 rounds in before dying. It's usually enough. Unless I run into people with some expensive cards....
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
How do you level a card? You just play with it a lot or there is a specific action you gotta do?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You combine cards. Basically cards are burnt in order to increase the level of the card.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Ooh cool
So if you have multiples of the same card you can combine them to make them stronger?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yup, easy peasy. Just go to the card section, click on the card and hit the combine icon.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yup. As the level goes up, either their stats go up or they get new abilities.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You combine them. Each level requires a certain amount of cards. Each card is a BCX.
Click the image to make it larger
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Go to Cards and then click on any card. Once there click on Stats. That shows you how many cards you need of that particular card in order to level them up. For commons it's usually 5 for level 2, 14 for level 3, 30 for level 4, 60 for level 5, and 100 for level 6. You need to acquire that many cards and then combine them to reach those levels. There's a little "combine cards" button in the row of icons which include renting them out, selling them, etc.
The BCX number is how many cards have already been combined to make the card you're looking at. BCX stands for "Base Card Experience" or something like that. Each BCX stands for one card. So if you look at the market and see a level 2 with a 5 BCX, that means someone has already combined 5 of those cards to create the level 2 card. You could then add 9 more cards to that one if you want and turn it into a level 3.
I'd recommend doing it once with the cheapest card you can find just so you know what you're doing. That Spinner that's being given away here is a pretty good candidate. It's pretty cheap IIRC. It is also a card that has it's uses. Especially in certain rulesets or in low mana battles.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I really do not have one I hate. I have a good variety of summoners in different splinters on the @splinterlands game. I guess it would depend on what the ruleset is. My least favorite would have to be the Life Splinter.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Get Lorna Shine levelled up some and you'll change your tune on that....
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
They all have their uses depending on who you're fighting. For me, the key is to look at the last 5 battles your opponent fought and try to predict the cards they're going to use against you based on the rule set and total mana.
For example, I almost always use the Earth Splinter and Mylor when the mana is 12-15. My opponent almost always uses Fire with Malric and his +1 melee or Death with the healing Haunted Spirit in the first position. These are melee. I stick my shield golem in first position and the tree elemental in the last with an opportunity/sneak in between and watch him impale himself to death on my thorns. Very satisfying. :-)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I don't have a Mylor so I tend to rely on Wizard of Eastwood. Removing shield does help a little bit.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Is it possible to specialize in one type of splinter? Or eventually you'll need all of them to progress?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It is best to have a good mix. Sometimes you are limited to certain Splinters in the battles.
Best to focus on leveling-up summoners first if you can afford it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's better to focus on a few...but sometimes your quest might not agree and you will have a tough time.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Nice try, but the rule says comment must be gaming related (and funny). You still have two hours though.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Kron the Undying is a bitch! I think I've only beaten that mfer a couple times. His mana should be about 15, at least when used in bronze and silver leagues.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I don't believe I've had the pleasure of battling that one yet.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
With last stand, I think it can heal like 5 or 6 HP per turn and it does 5 magic damage per turn. It's literally a tank
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Kron when its leveled up enough or with Llama is definitely a danger. Honestly I think byzantine kitty and kron is a dangerous combo too.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This turned out to be even better than I expected. ALready learned a lot of new things in only a couple of hours
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I am glad you are learning more about the game.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I didn't bother trying to be funny so I look forward to who wins.

Here is another edition of our daily @leomarkettalk.
We hit our daily minimum yesterday for the third time. This means we are building bit of a cushion.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I'll see if I can do a clean up later tonight to increase the numbers. We want more of a buffer if we can.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I like how this is going. Let's hope we can keep up the pace and crush that 10k goal
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think that 10k is definitely doable if people keep staying consistent here. It does seem like today is a bit slower.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Another daily minimum hit today? I think it's doable.
We still have so much time left.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well I think it's possible if we get to work on it soon.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Some information about the splinterlands Chaos Packs. Make sure to stake some SPS so you can buy the packs.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thanks for this post, but now I'm disappointed. 4 to 6 weeks before Chaos Packs??? W.T.F.???
At least we're getting some new rewards cards. 'Bout time! I' growing very weary of only getting DEC and mostly potions for daily quest rewards.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think the growth of the popularity of the game has made it difficult for the @splinterlands team to keep up with demand! Guess we will have to wait for the new packs (Wonder if they will stay at $2 dollars USD? I have not read the article linked above yet) or buy at the markets. Expensive stuff!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I read the article and yes, they are $2/pack, but you also need one voucher which you get from staking SPS.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Oh I got lots of SPS staked. Got some on Pancake Swap earning too!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You've got SPS on Pancake Swap?!? Or DEC?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I have SPS on Pancake Swap. I have DEC on Uniswap.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Sarge please go and comment on the official post for the contest. A technical glitch on my end delayed it a couple of minutes and I lost my pre-prepared post. So short and sweet I winged it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Oki doki!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
At least it gives me some more time to prepare! I'm still quite lost in the while Splinterlands thing
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Take your time. If play to earn explodes, you will have plenty of time to learn everything and be in a good position.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea the potions are just stacking up right now since I can't use them. It will be some time till the new one comes out and I think they are planning to revamp the battle system too.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah, I got a bunch of the useless potions sitting doing me nothing. Please J - post something on the official thread for the contest.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
EQIFI gets into DeFi game
We are seeing a lot of different companies entering the "banking" game.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This is one of the biggest dangers to the cryptosphere. Namely, that crypto was basically created by outsiders and people who wanted to get out from under the yolk of the legacy financial game. If you didn't play by their rules, where they held all the power and control, you didn't get to play at all. Bitcoin was meant to change that, and it has in many ways. BUT....
The lure of being brought into the good ol' boys club that is the legacy banks is soooo strong that rather than continue on the road to putting them out of business, some of these companies are selling out and getting roped in. Under the auspices of being guided and included in "merging" the two worlds, they are actually being manipulated and controlled into giving up their vision.
Maybe I'm reading into it a little too much. Maybe there does have to be some hybridization to ultimately achieve the freedom blockchain is meant to give, but this was just my immediate gut reaction to this story, and I've been around long enough to know that my gut instincts tend to be on the right track.
Time will tell as it always does....
Another 5 comment, comment. I'm never going to win this contest....lol
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I understand your point and I agree with you.
Money talks and the legacy system has lots of it so it's going to be hard to build something completely out of the system but I think eventually we'll accomplish that
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I really do not think you are reading too much into this. There is a major problem that you outline. We are seeing entities that are built from the proper value system selling out. Plus we have a lot of VC money starting to roll in. This is all taking Cryptocurrency away from Satoshi's original vision.
We need to start funding things in a decentralized manner. This will put the venture capitalists on the sideline.
Ironic, but the regulatory environment might help us get back to the original vision.

Yea a lot of people are entering the Defi space but I wouldn't be surprised if the authorities start knocking for regulations soon.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That are already poking around. There is no way they are not going to take a hold of it.
Thus, anything that is DeFi needs to truly be decentralized.

I see Tezos ads on Brave all the time but I didn't know it was a "serious" project until now.
We'll have to see how it goes from here

Huge news out of Japan. One of the world's largest economies and financial centers is opening up to crypto. GEC instead of FUD. Bitcoin $100k here we come....

Now the question is when the US will make one...I don't see any reason to refuse it because it will generate revenue and taxes.

Crypto goes more mainstream every day.

The wheels are rolling! Here we go

More GEC!! (that's Greed, Exuberance/Enthusiasm, Confidence to the uninitiated-- :-) In other words, the opposite of FUD)
Vast Bank becomes the first chartered bank to allow buying and selling of Bitcoin at their bank, right out of FDIC-insured accounts.
How soon until more follow?

I know of a few influencers who are preaching crypto insurers are possibly the next wave of alts to moon. I wonder if this catches on or if this news means those insurers will take a beating instead. Or if there's room for both sides....?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
GEC > FUD
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That sounds like a move that would allow a bunch of their customers could accept. After all in their opinion, FDIC = good.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Reading your previous comment I was gonna ask what was GEC again because I forgot but then I saw this hehe
That's definitely good for exposure!

A guide on Gemini to park your USD if you want to. There are risks but the interest is way better than what you get from banks. Though HBD would be better if the peg can hold.

Hello fellow Cryptonauts. Do you have Algorand? There's a free airdrop of an ASA token created by a redditor on the Algorand network. You'll need the official ALGO wallet myalgo and a little ALGO (0.003) for the transaction fee. You can find the airdrop here https://www.algoneer.net/ the token must be added to your wallet. There is an arrow next to your balance where you can add the ASA code. More info here on the subreddit. FYI there is no value, or use cases for the token yet, but who knows, the Algorand subreddit is quite an active community and they're excited about the potential of ALGO. If you want to get some micro-ALGO sent to your wallet click here for the ALGO faucet. It helps to transfer your staking rewards to your main balance. Happy Hunting for that moon ticket!
Never heard of them before. At least not that I can remember
I'll check them out later

You should ALgorand is a serious project, and will be a top ten at some point. The Tokenomics are not the greatest, but that is starting to change. Governance begins October 1st, and the've got their first DeFi Dapp recently. The Algorand Foundation may also be helping to ceate the CBDCs for many nations. Good? Bad? It's gonna happen one way or another and that will have a serious effect on the Algorand blockchain. The project hasn't been "marketed" like Cardano, polkadot, or Solana, but it's the real deal.
Love me some affiliate link spam.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That wasn't spam, It's an airdrop I'm not getting anything for posting that information, I'm just involved in the Algorand community, and if you're talking about the algo faucet... pfft that was just the link I had handy, that ain't shit like 0.0001 algo. ASSHOLE
Not nice of you being new and all calling folks names. We don't even cuss each other out no matter how testy we get and you got it wrong...
I am the biggest asshole in this community! Ask anyone!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I second this.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hahaha you're definitely one of a kind Sarge, that's for sure
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Ouch - a bit testy aren't we?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Nah not really, but I'm not a spammer nor troll, I'm new to this ecosystem, and I'm not gonna take any shiz, but thanks for the comment😉
Mwah.

psst
Also you only get a 2% upvote from me for acting like a bull in a China Shop. I normally give 4% upvotes to all new folks.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
When it comes to the internet, spammer is much worse than asshole.... so..... yeah anyway, crypto is no china shop, I don't need to tip toe my way around. Ya call me something I'm gonna say my piece. Look I want to make friends, I like writing about crypto, I'm serious about it, is the gif really necessary? Are you trying to shame me? Besides the guy who accused me of being a spammer, which I called an asshole never bothered responding, so who are you? Thanks for your 2 cents, I mean percent.
This moment:
You knew about this news, you already guessed that it was going to be like that, don't you think?
Harrah’s New Orleans Casino Requires Vaccination Card, On-Line Gambling Surges
Wait you need a vaccine card to do things digitally? Sounds like a weird thing if people aren't really getting close enough to spread anything
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Just part of the division that is taking place.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's the division that is the most annoying...I feel like people are just taking sides based on whatever party they are rather than thinking about things logically.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea, I think it's going to be more and more common. There are plans to do that where I live too
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
A vaccine card for online gambling? How does that make sense?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think the image cut his sentence and messed it up.
I think what he meant was:
"Harrah’s New Orleans Casino Requires Vaccination Card, On-Line Gambling surges."
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I understand why a casino would insist on "papers, please" regarding vaccinated people entering the physical casino.
What's the sense on doing that for online gambling?

This is an interesting concept. Do we want to be holding Hive when the market tops? This is getting us thinking about when the bull market will end.
Personally I wouldnt go this direction but the bears can be harsh. We will have to see how it all pans out.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I get his point but personally I think I'll be better off keeping my Hive staked for now.
I still have some FIAT I want to bring over so maybe I'll use the bear market for that and hopefully be in a better position when the bulls start running again
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea I don't really feel like buying any crypto right now with fiat either.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think he can always power it up afterwards and just lose some curation rewards. If prices hold then he can sell off a portion incase he needs it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The price of Hive is holding above 85 cents. Do you think it will keep the 80 cent mark or drop below it?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well I think it will probably drop below it. It will probably happen if there isn't another pump. In fact I think it dropped to almost 80 cents then went back up.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think 0.8 is a good support level for Hive right now so maybe it keeps it.
