Don't get disenchanted mate, creating all of this content is a good thing!
Even if it's not ranking now, you can edit and repurpose it.
Nothing is wasted :)
Now that you have a huge base of content. written, my advice would be to start considering general SEO best-practises.
Things like having 500+ words, more Google friendly H1s, as well as H2 and H3 subheadings that feature the target keyword.
I know you're trying to keep it clean and short, but you've still gotta consider what Google wants in content.
Have a play with the format, but I'd say at the very least, always put a H2 at the very top featuring the keyword.
Also finally, just remember that evergreen SEO like this is an extremely slow burn that doesn't show real results until much further into the future.
Don't give up :)

If I'm readin the latest SEO update correctly the format task is using will be a more desirable one in the near future.
Key points from the update:
It seems that search engines will prefer short but on-point content in the future with no filler text and keyword length preference.
Dunno how they plan to enforce all that was stated there but the update is kinda huge if they can roll it out correctly.

Lol at how vague their SEO advice is.
Remember that for Google's business, the most important thing is that they get you to pay for ads.
SEO is just an annoying extra for them ;)

I completely agree but this does seem like a radical change or the beginning of one. Gonna give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.
It is part of the process. There are some topics where 500 words can be achieved. However, a lot of it is short blurts since the definitions are rather straight forward.
You are right, a lot of information packing being done.
My frustration isnt so much with Leoglossary. I know people using something like that isnt going to happen for the most people. The majority do not write 500 word posts, let alone taking the time to link words.
It is with Threads. There are so many "lions" who probably havent posted a single thread.
