Nigeria is a country blessed with so many cultures and it's impossible not to admire these cultures.
My first exposure to another culture happened at a very tender age.

There was an Igbo woman in our compound with seized my breath whenever she was cooking.
She uses basically natural leaves and I became very curious about how she prepared her meal.
I have never seen this before and I didn't get the opportunity to smell it. I hope it was good in taste also. By the way, what is the name of it?

Being a Yoruba boy, I couldn't pressure my mom to prepare these meals but immediately I started doing one or two things in the kitchen.
I have explored different cultural food recipes and they are amazing.
is this chicken or mutton ?
What is the name of the dish? looks very tasty.
What's the name of this food George? And yes , igbo meals are irresistible 🙂... you are good on this skill and that's why you quickly tried out something in the kitchen

In the US we imagine tribes in Africa as something quite old fashioned but nowadays it seems to be more like "ethnicity", the people live among each other and have certain cultural practices, but all interact in daily life with each other. The US had us fooled that we were the only melting pot, actually Africa and Indonesia and India are amazing melting pots! I tried to learn some Hausa from music, if I visit, I will learn some Igbo and Yoruba too
