I had to be away from Hive for a few weeks, in the meantime, I delegated 1000HP to @zuun.net to check how would this curation pay off, and it paid off well.
You can check who is currently delegating to their account at https://curation.zuun.net/rewards.php
For now, very few people delegate to their program, but those who do get an interesting return, check my wallet to see it for yourself:
The daily payout is very close to the payout from bigger players, like Ecency and OCD, although they are smaller. Their APR is higher, so I think they are good at curating, so I would expect revenue to increase for everyone, given enough time, remember, they are new, they need time to grow their account.
The only thing I ask out of @zuun.net is to not forget about quality. It is easy for curators to just follow the train of whoever posts give more rewards, and in the long term that is damaging for Hive. Curators need to always keep in mind that they are responsible for basically choosing if a post is successful or not, so be mindful of what/who you upvote.
Anyways, I am back, but I will keep my delegations to support their work!
Thank you for your review about our service..
Within the rewards we give daily we also include the author rewards, which means that if we publish an article and receive votes, the author rewards are shared with all delegators, along with the curation rewards.. 😀
Hope this small review spread the word about your work and brings more delegators in
Good luck with the project, only thing I can hope/ask is that you focus on incentivizing people to post in the right communities so it gives them more power and usefulness.
Thank you..
I will take your recommendations, and also by recommendation of igormuba I am removing from my list the popular people and I am voting for more new people who deserve the opportunity for their content to be curated and the positive vote
The best return would be if everyone would vote manually, and if people would focus on supporting each other, instead of the ROI (return on investment) for their own accounts.
I had to be away from Hive for a while so I delegated, but I totally agree with you, delegation makes a few people become way too powerful.
Zuun is a small account so I don’t feel bad delegating to them, but ocdb and ecency are quite big, so I might withdraw my delegation soon for the exact reason you mentioned
It's true what you say.
We have developed some strategies to increase rewards for everyone, for example we share curation rewards but also author rewards..
This means that every post or comment we make, when they receive vows that reward we share with everyone.
But finally the purpose is to help new people who are not visible on Hive and give them a vote when it is deserved.
Apr is very limited these days due to the linear curve, it may mostly depend on the fee the curation project takes or how many downvotes occur.
I generally also agree with decentralizing stake/delegations more, we at ocd do so by having many curators and community leaders be in charge of what gets curated and everything being transparent to everyone involved so there's more eyes on the nominations and more gateways before a vote is cast. I wish other bigger projects would do the same and value social activity more than constantly rewarding content with signs of no consumption or attempt to grow an audience/following by the creator.
Yes, you are completely right. I Chose OCDB because it is a lesser evil due to transparency and decentralization, Ecency because I use their apps and I kinda trust them and zuun because they are very small and new. But nothing like curating ourselves.
Thanks for sharing this interesting project :)
.
It is 66% of the daily payout. If they made 100 HIVE my delegation makes me entitled to 66 HIVE. It is mot 66% of what I delegated, it is 66% of what they have made.
