biohacking has been around forever. I think we will move towards integration with rfid and passive chips before we do brain implants on the mass scale.
These have been spoken about for years, what would be the benefit? In the same theme as yesterday and my post today. Imagine having your body hacked by a Quantum computer 🤣

This would create two groups: The augumented ans the naturals. The prospect of the latter being left behind, might ensure that the majority would take the implant.

I think as services move towards being part of the augmented world, the other side will naturally move over because you will be missing out too much from not being part of the network.

This is a welcome development but that we all have to be careful when it comes to stuffs like this.

The biggest issue is that it tends to be in control of the big tech corporations...and I don't exactly trust them.

I think it is where we are heading. Our history is that we tend to merge with out #technology. It keeps getting closer to us and soon it will be in us.
So the BCI makes sense. If we are connected all the time with our brains, it does bring up interesting possibilities. However, I do not want that being controlled by some corporation.

I had already heard that some tech firms in California issued chips to employees that are put under their skin around the wrist area for security purposes to enter into secure areas within their office building and research area.
I don't think I could ever volunteer to get an implant.

This is where a decenralized economy is crucial. It's also where it's vital that we each become our own business owners: it's businesses which get the privileges and rewards, and many small businesses consist of just 1 person or 2 people. It's amazing how different life becomes when we live it as business owners.

I remember seeing that as well but I don't think it really took off. I don't think I would accept the implant right now.
