Well they are adding in more coal power plants to supplement their energy usage but I think its just another way to get the digital yuan in circulation.

China is all-in on Digital Yuan. It's rolling out its CBDC from test sites to the rest of the nation.
As for the additional coal plants, can China say it's using clean coal? I don't think so! Any talk of "fighting" climate change is useless until China contributes based on its abilities (as a good Communist country does). So we don't need to hear any more about this until 2030 when China is on the clock.
