Ah yes. That makes sense except when you start thinking about comment sections in articles. Then you will just have the author replying to comments and then on the bottom (or top).
Might be best to have some type of indentation system.
This is a good idea. Makes it more like Discord without hidden nested replies at each level. #feedback
That has its drawbacks to if there is a lot of discussion.
Good point. Maybe the solution is copying how Discord does it. Where they quote who you're replying to but none of the replies are nested at a deeper level.
