Experimenting with Pixel Art Studio or my first animated 8-Bit Style NFT.

in LeoFinance4 years ago

For some time now, I really wanted to experiment with Pixel Art. Some may wonder what Pixel Art is and I think the description on the Wikipedia web describes what it is perfectly.

Pixel art is a form of digital art, created through the use of software, where images are edited on the pixel level. The aesthetic for this kind of graphics comes from 8-bit and 16-bit computers and video game consoles, in addition to other limited systems such as graphing calculators. In most pixel art, the color palette used is extremely limited in size, with some pixel art using only two colors.

It was long before I started with NFTs that I was curious but didn't really see a direct use for it. 8-bit graphics or something similar is not used in my work. For this reason, the time that I had free was dedicated to learning other things. Well, the NFTs arrived and experimenting with Pixel Art no longer seemed so far-fetched. And today the day finally arrived.

A few hours ago I downloaded Pixel Art Studio, one of the most recommended softwares in forums related to this type of graphics and which also has a free version and after installing it I dedicated myself to watch some video tutorials on YouTube. As I have experience with animation software, learning the tools was not very difficult for me. Likewise, the program has a fairly fast learning curve even without experience.

This is my first attempt to draw something with Pixel Art Studio.

A chicken!

La verdad es que no se porque dibuje una gallina, imagino que fue lo que me vino a la mente en ese momento. Pero me gustó mucho el resultado. tanto así que sin vacilar traté de animarla directamente.

Y este fue el resultado.

The animation is not so bad to be the first one made with this program, eh? At least it's pretty funny.

After this came several more tests of drawings and animations. The last was the animation of a person. Well, just the person's head. But see for yourself.

It's called "What?"

I guess you already know why it's called "What?" By the way if you look at it, unlike the first one I did with the chicken, the background in this animation is transparent so that the image gets the background color from where it is embedded.

And well, "What?" has the honor of being my first NFT with a Pixel Art style for sale at NFTShowroom. And of course it won't be the last! It is very entertaining to make this type of graph so I will surely do many more. And of course, I will be able to experiment a lot and learn more new things ( the most important).

Have you had experience making Pixel Art? Do you like to do it?

I love that chicken.
Bravo!

Once I try the pixel art more I'll let you know.
I have experimented with it only for photography until now. Never made a gif out of it.
Bravo again!
