RE: LeoThread 2025-02-10 00:58

in LeoFinancelast month

I think we can do 2 really cool things to encourage more from our new users:

  1. Put some kind of lion cub icon next to their username (like a premium checkmark) to indicate to our userbase that they’re new for 30 days
  2. We should attach the #newlion tag on all their threads for 30 days too (can automatically be in the thread box when they type and post a thread)

I like the idea. It should not take too much time to develop and might do a lot to help withe retention.

I agree, especially if we cultivate a culture of existing Lions checking the tag regularly to engage and upvote new lions

I comment occasionally. Most of the time I only vote. It is only 0.764 LEO at the moment. It will matter a lot once we get $LEO prices up. All we need is DHF to take care of 25% of the marketing budget.

I will look for this tag #newlion

Thank you! We need existing lions monitoring the tag and staying active in it in order to get more curation and engagement on new lions

Thats a good idea. You should also look into the issue that you dont get notifications from account with to low rep. That means any newcomer will have a tougher time.

Yeah I'm aware of this issue - it's because we use the standard Hive API for notifications

We need to build our own notification API from scratch to address it properly. I have a bigger notification update in the works to make the experience better overall

So we'll roll that all into one update soon

I vote for BOTH

Great extension and expansion of the #introduceyourself that has historically supported new users in our community.

Would help all of the lazy thread responders (like me) to make sure we hit more of the new lions percentage-wise.

engagement in general is really bad, i have the same 10-15 people commenting on all threads. People should be aware that we seem dead if we don’t engage. It is the old lions who should be of a good example.

sorry girgot to say thst boyh ideas are great 😂😇
