RE: Making budget

Yes. My company dicked me 2 years in a row now along with all IT staff and less than half bonus. 1st year I hadn't been there long enough. Ok, understand that one although bonus was a key portion of my benefits package to take the job. Last year the claim was profits were down, less than half bonus. Yet they still had enough to donate millions of dollars to this fund or that fund. Now, we will see with the Covid BS. They already cut promotion plans out for the year, which I was also promised last year. I think we'll find out in another couple months, but already putting my ear to the ground. I suppose still lucky to have a job, but we've been working 80+ hour weeks since the whole Covid thing started, just now getting back down to a norm of 50-60. I'm pretty burnt out at this point and just need some more years to pay house down so we can retire.

The better you're out and autonomous the better K. I have a long way to go for that though, but I hope you can escape soon. Relying on others sucks.

Businesses are out there doing what they have to to stay afloat, I understand...But there's others that have not been affected so much using the COVID excuse to dick employees also. Here at least anyway. As a former business-owner (property industry) I understand that hard decisions need to be made at times. My wife had to make them in her business she runs now for us. But if they are avoidable then don't make them...Many here are doing things they do not need to giving them the chance to increase profit but paying less and dropping staff.
