REMINDER!!!
Get all those #CANDIES.
Time to fill those jars a bit more.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Candies grabbed
I missed a day again argh
back to 10
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That is always painful.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I had the same feeling a few days ago. I missed collecting my candies but I did collect my diamonds.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I feel like I should be cashing these in for something sweet by now
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Sweet. I see what you did there....
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thanks for the reminder. I made sure to grab both my candies and my diamonds.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Anyone collecting CMC diamonds as well?

A good overview of NFTs. This really does give us an idea of what they offer. Remember, still early in the game in terms of innovation.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Great overview indeed. I like how there is a session called "transitioning from art to utility".
I didn't know that San Marino was using NFTs as covid-vaccine passports. Putting aside the necessity of such a passport, I think it's nice that people are finally starting to see the potential that blockchain technology has on many aspects of society.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea it seems a bit more complicated than I would like. It did remind me of something mentioned in the latest Radio Evolved (by the people who run Rising Star) and it was how they planned on releasing NFTs linked with actual vinyl. So a user can decide to either hold the NFT or send the NFT to the musician and the vinyl will be sent to the person.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
We are still extremely early. We are in the beanie baby phase now as I call it. Lol. But we have plans on building up the NFT game for things like music and book publishing and resell rights, etc. We are also working on a concept to get physical art galleries involved in the NFT space. We have big plans for 2022 over here on Coin Logic and our NFT and smart contract studio, Contract Logic.

We are going to test removing the headings and see what results we get with top line comments.
This was the model we used before.

We can experiment and then see whether or not things pick up here or not.

It is still odd to see HIVE green in a sea of red in the crypto markets.
The pump has gone on longer than usual.
Sitting at $1.15 now.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Do we blame the Koreans?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's weird indeed. I thought it'd have crashed by now
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Could be another leg up. 30 to 50 to 60 to 80 to now a dollar? Pretty sure it is since I finally decided to try and trade it. lol Fortunately I didn't do much and I didn't actually sell it. Just moved it to HBD, which I want to own more of anyway. We'll see....

Could be waiting a while....

Ethereum may flip Bitcoin by then.

Well the markets tends to do the opposite of what people expect. So I wonder when "speculative investors" are gone.

1inch moving towards a DAO.
This is something we are going to see a great deal in the future. It is something that is unavoidable.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Does this make 1inch a buy? Just curious on your thoughts....

Chinese wealth could evaporate with a real estate crash. They took the broken window theory to a new level. Instead of breaking windows to fix them, they just kept making more windows.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I still think they could make an aggressive act of war in the coming months. They've been building up their military and technology. Plus, the whole Covid thing. Not saying it was intentional but a lot was learned about how the world reacts and what can and can't be done to stop/spread things. It just really feels like they have nefarious plans going on in the background. I hope I'm wrong...
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
As long as things remain status quo, nothing will happen between USA and PRC. A real estate crash like what is being predicted would be the trigger for war since it would distract the populations from the mistakes made by those in power on both sides of the ocean.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think China going to war would end up in a quick demise. They do not have the Navy to compete with Japan let alone the US.
It is like the Soviet Union. The US saw all the hardware and vastly overestimated the capabilities. What was missed is the fact the soldiers were drunk. That is what happens when you two main products are guns and Vodka. LOL
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
"War" with China will simply be the west getting involved when they decide to annex Taiwan.
Who knows what this would actually look like in reality though.

The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier is the crown jewel of the United States Navy. The air group hosted by the aircraft carrier makes the ship lethal. As long as the aircraft carrier stays intact, the US can maintain is power projection missions and its full-spectrum dominance.
"As long as the aircraft carrier stays intact...."
If the hypersonic missiles developed by China and Russia are the real deal, a small number of hypersonic missiles (or even just one) will shred an aircraft carrier to scrap metal with no way to defend against them. If one of these hypersonic missiles ever gets used as advertised, the US can kiss power projection good bye, and its days of full-spectrum dominance become numbered.
During the last years of the Cold War, the USSR had advantages in hardware, but they were negated by low morale and a focused adversary. These daya, the USA has advantages in hardware, but they are also being negated by low morale caused by different reasons.
Even if China doesn't have the assets to match the United States in a naval conflict (or any other conflict), that doesn't mean that victory is assured by the United States. Should the United States fail against China-- and it's a possibility which cannot be dismissed-- then we will be witnessing the start of the end of Dollar Hegemony. If USD goes, that's "Good Night, Irene" for the United States as a world power on any level.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I'm not sure the broken windows theory works that way, but should a crash of that magnitude occur not even China can stop the delayed increase in crime that could result from it. At least Xi looks good with that yellow umbrella.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
From an economic perspective it does.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I always thought the broken windows theory was the idea that if problems aren't fixed at the earliest opportunity then briiger problems follow which are more difficult to fix; that it's how societal decay begins. Wouldn't that be true from an economics perspective as well?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I wonder what the trickle down effects of this will be when things crash. In a way, even our real estate market has a lot of speculation during the lock downs.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Marathon Digital raised $650 million according to revelation with the SEC.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hopefully that's enough to pay the attorney fees fighting..er...complying with the investigation.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's going to take a lot of time and money...so I don't think it will be enough. If the SEC feels they don't have good chances, they will just keep extending things out.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The article mentions that the funds were more for expansion so maybe it wasn't that big of a deal.

Does anyone know what is happening with the POB token? For a while it was in the same neighborhood as LEO, but for a few weeks it's been crashing. Just now I checked the price at Hive Engine, and it's less than a dime at USD 0.09923.
I realize that not all sales of POB are due to the token, but it looks as if people are walking away from POB. The only good thing about this price performance is that it makes it easier for "@"onealfa to add to his bag.
I'm not as active in POB as I had been earlier, but that's because of me and not Proof of Brain. If there's any drama there, I have no idea what it could be and I don't care. I'm just curious about the hit POB has been taking in recent months.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well most of it was pushed up due to the price of POB. After all I recall a lot of the same writers also writing for LeoFinance before POB came out. There was some drama but I don't check that community after all the drama.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Lack of engagement. Most of the authors on POB are hit-and-run. They just post and get fat upvote and run. Their stakes and curations are low. So yeah it's like titanic now.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea people tend to gravitate towards the things with the highest price. Do you know where these users have moved?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Judging by the numbers, they didnt come back to Leofinance
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea they didn't come back to LeoFinance so I wonder where they went.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It's had a lot of hype at first but I guess most people were only in it because of the high rewards, as the token price was even higher than LEO at one point. Now it seems that the community couldn't keep up with the hype and people don't see real value there anymore.
I like it there and not planning to go away but I think not everyone thinks the same.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
For Hive-Engine tokens to have value there needs to be demand.
A reason for people to always be buying, if you will.
Niche community tokens (like LEO for the finance/trading community) offer the ability to put your message at the top of a very targeted group of people.
This is a reason for there to always be demand for LEO.
Think Facebook ads, but you own a part of the community you're promoting to.
As a generic community, POB just doesn't have this base reason to generate demand.
Who are you putting your message in front of within that community and why would you pay to do so?
If you can't answer those questions... and I personally can't... then there's your reason why the POB price will go to zero.

Considering LEO is better than dogecoin, any idea why people still chase shiba and dogecoin?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Because they are easy for an average retail user to relate to and buy. I don't exactly see an easy way to buy LEO right now but DOGE and SHIBA are on most exchanges by now.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Nobody really knows about LEO yet. We are a very small community opposed to doge, shiba and the likes, that are hyped by celebs and are all over the news.
The time will come when HIVE and LEO are known and more accessible to the masses but we're not there yet.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Dogecoin is gaining traction among merchants, with AMC Theaters being the best example unrelated to Tesla Motors or to Elon Musk. Another example is the Dallas Mavericks franchise of the National Basketball Association accepting DOGE at the arena.
Shiba Inu is leading the pack (so to speak) of memecoins to compete with Dogecoin. For people who missed Dogecoin when it was priced at less than 1 cent USD-- as recently as 11 months ago-- Shiba Inu offers an opportunity to make up for that miss. Both DOGE and SHIB have been getting knocked around, but they keep coming back. That means something.
Out of the 140+ memecoins imitating Dogecoin, Shiba Inu has risen to challenge Dogecoin in a serious way. Last month or this month AMC Theaters announced it would accept SHIB as well.
As much as we know that LEO and HIVE are superior to DOGE and SHIB, the ultimate show of superiority is public acceptance. Like it or not, HIVE is not ready for prime time, and neither is LEO. They will have their day and place in the sun, but it won't be today. So we stack.
