Do you think the new variant of the virus will be causing issues? I have a feeling those lock downs might be starting again so the entire global economy will be effected

We had an in-person presentation scheduled on campus next wee, and I optioned to stay home. We've had a number of instructors who were infected with COVID, and at least one who almost died. Thank goodness I chose all online classes since this started.
