I think we just need to be doing cool stuff that bleeds out into the real world and putting breadcrumb trails to hive and leo rather than just talking about hive. Have hive meetups that are fun and open to other friends, the car thing, an open mic in spaces or discord that is run by hivesters but open to anyone

IMO, the fetching Hive data on threads should be done with the / menu function. If I remember correctly, this was mentioned by Khal or someone else some time ago

Yeah, It seems like more time, effort and creation goes into X compared to on here lately and I'm not a big fan of it. Last months MAUs clearly shows stagnation and time and resources should be allocated elsewhere primarily mainly back into the core program.
I personally feel this onboarding DHF is eating up way too much of the teams time and has removed the core focus. But that's just my opinion at the moment I of course could be totally wrong.
We should also promote the platforms individually, 3speak as a platform to consume video, Threads for microblogging, it is very difficult to sell the blockchain as a whole. Users are not interested in the backend, they want to consume content.

Totally agree with @bitcoinman. So many users with big voting power is now chasing X impressions out there. Users with high voting power would help in making newbies see the whole potential of Hive and help in retention eventually

I think that a good way to generate adoption would be to promote Hive as a platform to consume content, we have very good content, we need people to consume it, and it would be a good way to start, and those who are interested in creating will also learn little by little .

I'm working on a post sharing my journey through Ghana's indie hip hop scene and talking with some of the rappers to share the article because it's essentially free promo for them. I see all the DApps developers should be happy promoting each other. DApp tribalism disappoints me. That's one reason why I stopped writing for one front-end. The curators keep saying that only write stuff about their tribe.
And the other one keeps telling me to use their front end. If it is working smoothly, why not? Using their front-end, I always encounter difficulty and so that's why I keep returning to PeakD and I just used the tribe's tag.
Inleo premium users do not engage on none premium Threads anymore as I can see. This is not encouraging nor does it motivate someone to get the premium.

I don't think that's fair or true... there is a lot of people here, and even me... being premium... I don't always get the engagement I wish. Its all depending on the day/hour/subject. People don't run crazy to everyone just because we post or thread. It depends on so many factors that is very hard to draw down to the exact reasons sometimes.
Take your time to evaluate others... learn from what you see, and ask always if you still have concerns.

which is my point. Hive is not that expensive. The problem isn't the 8.5m but the 80m hive needed to topple the current top-20 witness. You can't buy that in the open market currently without x100 hive price (I stand to be corrected)

On Wikipedia there are many topics that are driven by external influences or points of view that they want you to have about certain topics. In addition, there is a lot of unverified information that can be more harmful than beneficial.

I don't think that's fair or true... there is a lot of people here, and even me... being premium... I don't always get the engagement I wish. Its all depending on the day/hour/subject. People don't run crazy to everyone just because we post or thread. It depends on so many factors that is very hard to draw down to the exact reasons sometimes.
Take your time to evaluate others... learn from what you see, and ask always if you still have concerns.

According to Coingecko, hive has a circulating supply of 371m tokens valued at $128m. With $8.5m you can mop up hive liquidity on Binance which stands at around 25m HIVE.
Is that a lot of money?
No $8.5 million in the global financial system is nothing.
which is my point. Hive is not that expensive. The problem isn't the 8.5m but the 80m hive needed to topple the current top-20 witness. You can't buy that in the open market currently without x100 hive price (I stand to be corrected)
I am not sure it is a 100x. Most of the liquidity is likely still on the Korean exchange.
And I am not sure toppling the top 20 is the goal. There is jostling around taking place.
But yes each should look to add to his/her HP.

I don't know what that would be like, but task is building our own Wikipedia and I think from an impartial point of view. On Wikipedia there are many topics that are driven by external influences or points of view that they want you to have about certain topics. In addition, there is a lot of unverified information that can be more harmful than beneficial.
