Why does this month feel like everything on Hive (user facing) just keeps breaking or that promises are being broken? Getting highly annoyed with Hive as a whole this month. Is it just me?

Hive whales should incentivize more Hive ambassadors (leaders and builders of value-creation systems) to help spread the narrative, whatever that narrative is. Most whales (with a few obvious exceptions) are mostly silent.

We have seen Friendtech and couple more SocialFi chain gaining momentum and they're still in development while hive already fits this narrative and is far advanced from personal experience.
Dex is indeed should be first thing developed on Hive after smart contract launch.
Opening a way to bridge from outside, developing more Dapps and smartcontract feeless interaction with Blockchain is something missing in other Blockchains.
Have you reached out to inleo devs? They were supposedly working on DEXs. Khal kept talking about liquidity pools on $CUB and $POLYCUB a while back. Those projects seem pretty dead though, so I might be wrong.
The projects are there and they are functioning afaik. I still have my cub in the Kingdom and my Xpolycub staked. It is just not worth that much. Selling it makes no sense so I'm gonna HODL to death...or the tokens actually go boom at some point.
The LPS are ther though and they have Liquidity too. Not too much though.

And they don't often have much, so for them it becomes a "low risk" / "high reward" scenario. Easy enough to bring them to try...
Don't think it will be the biggest one, the businesses using HBD might have more retention and long term impact, for example.
Ben's is trying to chase the rabbit hole of normal company growth strategy. But one can't think that way, because we are not a company! We are a community, a decentralized one, where many things will not be even get off the table, many times... until when they do.

They were either not done correctly or continuously. If you don't have billions of VC money backing your chain, you don't expect to pull people instantly.
It's a UI for HIVE multisig. Multisigs have existed on Hive for a long time now, but no one has used them in the past. Now they are becoming much more common.
I agree with the speaker. It is one of the reasons I try not to be pessimistic. Proffer solutions without shitting on people and everything. Easier said than done.
the thing with hive marketing efforts is that they are short-term. When faced with poor or unexpected results we cave and move on to something else. We do not improve the plan or strategy.
I believe it's a total waste of time marketing to wheb 2.5 people on X. Most of them don't have the desire to use the Blockchain. They are mostly after the next big thing. They are the worst crowd to target.
What exactly is it "milking"? because using the coins your earned as you please is not "milking" also, if it is directed to content creators that have low investment on the chain, well, someone that invested consider that the content was enough value to contribute, so they upvoted it.

Milking was when the large whales on STeem only voting for each other and used the Ninja Mined stake to promote their accounts over others.
We don't have this issue on Hive anymore but there are some big accounts that is how they got their Hive.
I just phrased my response that way because there has been a huge issue with people using "milking" referring to what I wrote, so when it is said now, we are left wondering, is this about true milkers that can actually redirect a lot of funds, or to the people that posts and uses all they make just to get by.

I'm a big believer in HBD savings. I think any investor will enjoy a save 20% while it lasts. It's pretty conservative but beats just about anything out there with low risk.

I went there for two days but the beauty impressed me so much that I stayed there 4 days and I will never regret for that decision. Every day will be Sunday if you were there.

I understand your frustrations on Hive Engine in general. But I would like to again highlight that the problem we are currently having is not related to Hive Engine (blockchain) itself but related to some nodes that are commonly used and not having a facility on hive-engine.com to switch nodes. Of course I'm not defending #hiveengine completely because I know there are a few problems with scalability and centralization. But my point is that the current problem is not related to that.
In the blockchain world this problem is very common to see nodes going down or overloaded or being attacked. That's when we switch to another node. That doesn't mean that the entire blockchain is affected. Tomorrow if api.hive.blog is having issues continuously for a few days, it doesn't mean that Hive itself is down and Hive itself has never ending issues.
I don't think a lot of people on chain that are on the dev side of things understand what this sounds like:
"It's not a problem, change the node."
We are never going to keep people here on chain if this is the answer we give them because quite simply, 99.9% of the population has no idea what 'changing a node' means.
It's not up to the world to conform to us, we need to make it stupid simple for the world. If we want actual adoption.
I definitely agree with you. It has to be stupid simple. We cannot expect everything to be very simple in the blockchain world and that's also one of the biggest problems in crypto adoption. Below is a very common phrase in the crypto world. Not with just Hive Engine. As I said earlier, it can also happen to Hive when api.hive.blog goes down because it is one of the most used nodes.

Nodes are a very common thing in the blockchain world and that's one of the things that differentiate web2 and web3. This facility is both a boon as well as bane. It is more like if we don't like a node switch to another. hive-engine.com is just one interface that was having problems, people should know to switch to tribaldex or other wallet interfaces that work.
There should be other volunteers willing to create alternative user interfaces that can help during node issues. Nobody is ready to do it because there is no proper incentive for that.
the issue is, hive is very unique in the blockchain space because of the social elements to it. so a large audience of who we attract is not always blockchain savvy.
they just want things to work.
it's imperative that we get these apps to switch nodes automatically, so that the user experience is flawless for the people we are trying to attract.
we only have one time to make a first impression, and i can almost guarantee the majority of those that have join the chain these past few weeks, have more than likely already given up and moved on.
Definitely agree with you on that. I understand the fact that the experience should be seamless. But some of the apps that had issues are mostly centralized with limited facility. But blaming the entire blockchain and calling it down or having issues is what concerns because as I said, if Peakd is down we don't blame Hive for not having a seamless experience. We move on to Ecency or hive.blog. I heard people using tribaldex with the right nodes did not have any issues.
I completely agree with you on the User experience part but that a different topic and the current issue is not related to user experience directly. Even if the node issues are resolved, there will still be some elements of these user experience issues which definitely needs to be addressed.

Have you reached out to inleo devs? They were supposedly working on DEXs. Khal kept talking about liquidity pools on $CUB and $POLYCUB a while back. Those projects seem pretty dead though, so I might be wrong.
The projects are there and they are functioning afaik. I still have my cub in the Kingdom and my Xpolycub staked. It is just not worth that much. Selling it makes no sense so I'm gonna HODL to death...or the tokens actually go boom at some point.
They were asking about liquidity pools. I remember Khal used to talk about them all the time, but haven't heard any talk about LPs lately.
The LPS are ther though and they have Liquidity too. Not too much though.

For example for me, the simplest one to use on the daily basis, is the stable coin APR. The HBD of 20% APR does attract lots of people that have money on the bank at 1% or even less. And they don't often have much, so for them it becomes a "low risk" / "high reward" scenario. Easy enough to bring them to try...
Don't think it will be the biggest one, the businesses using HBD might have more retention and long term impact, for example.

What exactly is it "milking"? because using the coins your earned as you please is not "milking" also, if it is directed to content creators that have low investment on the chain, well, someone that invested consider that the content was enough value to contribute, so they upvoted it.

With the never ending issues with HiveEngine, the problems seems to be fixed on TribalDex by switching nodes.
One of the issues is that HiveStats seems to have issues because we cant change nodes? Is that a potential fix for us? #feedback

What I use now
I understand your frustrations on Hive Engine in general. But I would like to again highlight that the problem we are currently having is not related to Hive Engine (blockchain) itself but related to some nodes that are commonly used and not having a facility on hive-engine.com to switch nodes. Of course I'm not defending #hiveengine completely because I know there are a few problems with scalability and centralization. But my point is that the current problem is not related to that.
In the blockchain world this problem is very common to see nodes going down or overloaded or being attacked. That's when we switch to another node. That doesn't mean that the entire blockchain is affected. Tomorrow if api.hive.blog is having issues continuously for a few days, it doesn't mean that Hive itself is down and Hive itself has never ending issues.
I don't think a lot of people on chain that are on the dev side of things understand what this sounds like:
"It's not a problem, change the node."
We are never going to keep people here on chain if this is the answer we give them because quite simply, 99.9% of the population has no idea what 'changing a node' means.
It's not up to the world to conform to us, we need to make it stupid simple for the world. If we want actual adoption.
I definitely agree with you. It has to be stupid simple. We cannot expect everything to be very simple in the blockchain world and that's also one of the biggest problems in crypto adoption. Below is a very common phrase in the crypto world. Not with just Hive Engine. As I said earlier, it can also happen to Hive when api.hive.blog goes down because it is one of the most used nodes.
"It's not a problem, change the node."
Nodes are a very common thing in the blockchain world and that's one of the things that differentiate web2 and web3. This facility is both a boon as well as bane. It is more like if we don't like a node switch to another. hive-engine.com is just one interface that was having problems, people should know to switch to tribaldex or other wallet interfaces that work.
There should be other volunteers willing to create alternative user interfaces that can help during node issues. Nobody is ready to do it because there is no proper incentive for that.
the issue is, hive is very unique in the blockchain space because of the social elements to it. so a large audience of who we attract is not always blockchain savvy.
they just want things to work.
it's imperative that we get these apps to switch nodes automatically, so that the user experience is flawless for the people we are trying to attract.
we only have one time to make a first impression, and i can almost guarantee the majority of those that have join the chain these past few weeks, have more than likely already given up and moved on.
Definitely agree with you on that. I understand the fact that the experience should be seamless. But some of the apps that had issues are mostly centralized with limited facility. But blaming the entire blockchain and calling it down or having issues is what concerns because as I said, if Peakd is down we don't blame Hive for not having a seamless experience. We move on to Ecency or hive.blog. I heard people using tribaldex with the right nodes did not have any issues.
I completely agree with you on the User experience part but that a different topic and the current issue is not related to user experience directly. Even if the node issues are resolved, there will still be some elements of these user experience issues which definitely needs to be addressed.

Are you using the Logical Trading Indicator V.1 on TradingView? If not, you really should! Go give it a boost cause I it's trending right now in the community scripts! It gives you the meat and taters of the main thing, but V.2 has all the fixin's, lol.
