I had to go back and found out you were asking if it is also called golden yam. I guess some people would like to call it golden brown yam or golden yam just as they would call other brown looking foods.
If I am to call a food golden, it would be the type that Mr. Beast eats, golden pizza, golden steak, golden icecream. Hahaha.
Initially, I didn't know it was the name until a few years ago. My mum made it for the family when I was a little girl and I learned from her with time.
It's surprising how one can make a dish without having an idea it is well known in other parts of the world and has a name. I like to prepare noodle like that with chicken chunks, sausage and enough vegetables.
Reading about these hungry foods is difficult hahaha...
Good thing it's close to lunch time here.
