I had to go back and found out you were asking if it is also called golden yam. I guess some people would like to call it golden brown yam or golden yam just as they would call other brown looking foods.

Initially, I didn't know it was the name until a few years ago. My mum made it for the family when I was a little girl and I learned from her with time.
