The relationship between Music and Art has always been an intrinsic one; the growth of one has most times led to a growth and wider use and acceptance of the other. They complement each other in a way, and to fully appreciate one you need to have at least a basic understanding and appreciate the other. The Crypto world which in my opinion is an improved version of the real world seems to be upholding this rule of a correlation between Music and Art.

With the rise of Crypto and Blockchain giving artists the chance to Do it themselves and run their things on their own without the need for scummy and sleazy Record labels, through Blockchain based Music streaming platforms like Emanate, we are also seeing a rise in the use of NFTs by artists. The days of having so many Starving artists will be a thing of the past to me if they embrace Blockchain Technology and NFTs.

NFTs can be used by the artists to create limited edition tokenized digital memorabilia for their fans, this will create means of income for the artists and also give the fans a chance to earn as such NFTs can be held for higher gains. We’ve also seen NFTs been used in Music ticketing as non-fungible tokens hold unique specific properties. This makes them a better choice at creating a unique buying experience from a fan perspective, it also takes away the hassle of printing, selling, and posting physical concert tickets.

Blockchain can so easily help to bring a closer relationship between artists and their fans. I have seen artists on Emanate offer fans limited edition NFTs to mark new Music or Album releases. This serves to endear the artists more to fans, it also gives the artist a chance to earn as such NFTs are sold for good money, and fans also can earn from reselling those NFTs for a higher price as demand increases.

Just like the Finance industry before it, the Music and Art industry seems to be embracing the wind of Blockchain change and we are seeing new ways of doing things. Emanate Music seems to be in the forefront of development in the Blockchain Music streaming space and they are giving artists and creatives the chance to get their fair-share for putting out their brainchildren.

With the inclusion of NFTs to what artists can do the divide between the Haves and the Have-nots will reduce drastically and significantly. I expect more integrations and big news between the rather close worlds of Music and Arts.

Very recently I've seen someone using the HIVE based NFTshowroom service to NFT some of his music. Though I thought about this possibility before, this was the first time I've seen it in action (so to speak). The beauty of NFT is the proof of ownership, therefore great for ticketing (as you mentioned); It may take a lot of abuse out of that industry, taking out the traders of tickets who always try and make lots of money by purchasing the normal price and selling for three/four times more. But yea, NFT can be used for so much more, like music indeed. Instead of the signed copies of physical media, NFT offers the digital variant. All very interesting development, and love to see where all of this will be in lets say 10 years from now.

Does Emanate support NFT feature itself, or are artists using another service to create the NFTs for their work they sell?

Thank you very much, and I love your point about NFTs offering a digital variation of signed music copies. I mentioned NFTs been used by artists to reward fans with digital memorabilia.
Currently, Emanate is working on its own NFTs from what I hear, they plan to reward artists and those who have signed up on their website with one when it drops, which should be out before the end of the year. So you might want to go sign up on their website before that lol, inside scoop hehehe.

But for now Artists use another service.

Thanks for the insider info. Am not an artists, so NFTing my work is not an option :) I could NFT my pitches I've created for HIVE, KOINOS and some other stuff I uoloaded to 3Speak? Never tried to NFT that work :) Tried to NFT a photograph, since I think that should give a form of ownership to photography, but doesnt seem to get a lot of traction. People like more all the digital art.
