I don't see Bangladesh happening in Nigeria because we aren't united. The ongoing protest was supposed to be peaceful but some hoodlums were paid to hijack it leading to the crises, loss of lives and properties that we have experienced.

Moreover, our government would rather have its citizens killed than allow such to happen.

and those hoodlums were paid to do it. I don’t even know what they want

They want money in the bags.
That's all that they're after.

Money? Which money have they ever seen if not 2k periodically?

2k is big money for some people o.

We are our own problem. Someone will always have money to pay to disrupt a peaceful protest and there will always be someone willing to collect the money. I pray Nigeria doesn't happen to us nor our loved ones

Exactly, the people are hungry and anyone in that condition wouldn't mind collecting the money just to feed and take care of other needs.

Amen oo. God no go shame us.

And I wouldn't blame them. The situation of the country won't allow them to do otherwise. I hope we will all be comfortable enough financially to say no to these things

I no even know where we see 'Peace and Unity' from

We no peace or any unity at all

It happens to every protest eventually. Powerful people or people with a different message insert their will into the movement by whatever means they can imagine. Strange or misleading behavior by police, fake protesters, a sudden push for a change in messaging, or provoking violence among a minority of the protestors.

I hope the next round is peaceful!
