In my quest to document something out of the ordinary at the DEX yesterday, I was too slow in selling my 3,093 SIM when it went from USD 4.19 to USD 133.92, and it fell back to USD 4.06.
Suppose I have the extremely good fortune to catch a flash spike like that again (not likely, but who knows?):
- How do I cash out SIM (or any other Layer 2 token, for that matter)?
- Is Hive Engine the only DEX I an use to cash out (no LeoDex, no Tribaldex)?
- Can I go directly to fiat currency, or do I need to make a pit stop at HIVE or SWAP.HIVE first?
I'm trying to figure out how to add money to buy HIVE at Hive Engine; I think I know what I'm doing there for when the time comes, just not yet. My concern at this moment is any token on Layer 2.

I don't know of any way to go straight to or from fiat on HIVE. There are no fiat on/off ramps. The closest we have is through PayPal on Splinterlands. From there you can send directly to Hive-Engine. Other than that, you need to use the bridges from bLEO/wLEO or deathwing to BSC. If there are others, I don't know them.

An exchange from HIVE directly to USD or from USD to HIVE would be ideal, but I'm not expecting that.
Binance is not an option for me for geographic (really legal) reasons. I managed to offload some ETH to my Brave browser wallet the other day, so I don't need to worry about moving ETH from Gemini to Hive Engine.
I was just trying to find the easiest way to send ETH from my wallet to Hive Engine in order to have some liquid SWAP.HIVE I could use. Going through 1 or 2 chains may be necessary, but I have to side-step Binance.

You should be able to swap ETH to wLEO on Uniswap in your metamask wallet and then bridge the wLEO into LEO and swap that for swap.hive. The fees suck on Uniswap, obviously, so you'd want to do a large enough amount to make it worthwhile.

It may be a while before I have an amount that can justify paying those fees. Thanks for letting me know about the alternative procedure.
