Who knows of a post on Hive that's a good guide to futbol for people (i.e., mostly Americans) unfamiliar with the various regional leagues?

What are the big leagues on each continent, and in the major futbol playing nations?

Sort:

That would be a great guide to have on hive. Someone should create it.

It would be good to have a futbol account that a couple people (if interested) post under.

Such a post will be promoted on LeoThreads, but where should the post itself be published? That's not exactly under the LeoFinance umbrella of topics covered.

No it would likely have to be peakd or hiveblog for the long form content.

Then could be highlights, linked, and discussed on threads.

SportsTalkSocial seems like the best place to host that article, and it can be published either at Layer 1 or via the tribal STS front-end. Now to see what the barbarians need to know about Futbol worldwide.

That is true. I always forget about that site. It went dead so long ago. Had great potential too.

STS had so much promise initially, from what I've heard; it ended up like many other tribes & communities. Maybe it can benefit from having a business-minded person good with marketing as 1 of the team's key players. Raw material is there.

Very true. But I dont think that is there so it would have to be built from scratch Not that it couldnt happen.

Hell to be honest with you, Leofinance should incorporate different genres in.

Section it off so it appears to be separate but is actually the same URL. Have threads a centerpiece and the others on the exterior.

Even if it is a tab like LeoSports.

I never looked, are we writing in threads using markdown.

There might be a way to do what you are thinking on threads.

I was thinking in terms of a long form blog post, and I think we have that covered. Threadstorms could be extracted from that blog post. It depends on what the guide needs to cover.

I would imagine you could use a lot of tables with leagues, rankings, rosters, etc...

Definitely. Oddly enough, we wouldn't be able to use tables in LeoThreads or LeoArticles at this time; somewhere along the switch to the current UI that ability was left behind. Code fencing is a workaround, but it's not 100%.

One of the many things to go tits up with the conversion. Maybe in time it will be straightened out.

It could be an interesting project. I would set up an account to post under so it is all in one place in that regard.

Then develop a series of posts and information pertaining to what you are designing. And tie as much of it into Leothreads as possible.

It is a fantastic market with plenty of stats and info. All of it could go on Hive.

That said, if decline rewards, which doesnt work right now, was used, how would that change things?

Or would it?

I am a big fan of using Hive as a database reference center. Something like that could be valuable.

Decline rewards for the Hiver adding the content to the database? I don't know enough to say if that is a good idea or not. On the other hand, declining rewards if the database is being edited or maintained makes more sense.
