Another good thing, is that each of these threads is also being indexed by Google. So as the parent site gains domain age, more people should find us outside of Hive and LeoFinance when we mention for instance, Brands and products that they may be searching for. As we keep plugging away, it'll get better over time.

I am not following. Could you elaborate more on this?

What can we do in hear to help that along?

Keep doing what you're doing. For example, if you talk about the new Tesla Starlink internet service, since this thread is a post. Google will find it when it's posted. Suzy soccer mom, does a google search for Starlink internet service, and if we're lucky, she just might scroll down and see our discussion about it and "CLICK."

I still get tweets about tweets I made months ago on Twitter, because Google indexes tweets as well.

When I had my Blogger page, I used to login every day to see where my traffic was coming from. Over time, I started getting noticed on Google, hence the name EverNoticeThat.

If I saw that a post was getting a lot of hits to my page from a forum, I'd go over, create an account and start a discussion and over time, some may become regulars on my site. I keep saying "over time" because that what you need.

I used to search for tech messageboards and leave comments. Everyday. Then check my visitor logs to see where traffic was coming from. Almost everytime I wrote about Apple for instance, I would see visits from Cupertino, California where the headquarters are. Somebody there was reading my stuff! :)

Apple users tend to be very brand loyal, because they make great products and the company was "beleaguered" for so long until Steve Jobs came back.

I used to live over on the Appleinsider Forums, tons of Mac users over there, with many shall we say "spirited" discussions going on. I'd visit to see what was hot and what questions people had and then build a post around that. Haven't used it in years though.

Knowing where your traffic is coming from can be very helpful in knowing your audience and can help to tailor your writing to bring in more site visitors.

It'd be nice if we had a feature like that here. You'd likely be surprised where the traffic on Hive and Leofinance is coming from.

Does a thread like this help a great deal?

We have a variety of topics that come up each day along with a number of links to different stories/articles. Sure they are links out but it cant hurt.

Is there more we can do in here to help things along?

Posting more links? Any keywords we should focus upon?

Should we be talking a lot about "Bitcoin" or "cryptocurrency" and use those terms?

Loading...

Well we have been doing this for over 3 months now and we don't see many new entrants who consistently stay here . Thousand comments per day is possible if we have like atleast 50 users over here discussing .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hopefully, that changes this month. Maybe we should go out of our way to talk more about leotalk and create more awareness for the initiative

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

We say that each month. LOL

Either way, those of us here will keep pushing things forward. It is up to us to bring up stimulating conversation topics, something that we seem to be lacking for the most part.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

We say that each month. LOL

🤧🤧

I think another issue is that the few of us here are in different time zones. So conversations aren't always fluid. That could change if there were more people. We will make do of what we have nevertheless.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is a very valid point. We do have people all over the world and there are a lot of dead times as we know. Most of us have to sleep at some point. LOL

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If we have thousands of comments per day, we would have to put up three or four posts per day since the delay would be incredible.

The timing of the loading would be slowed to a crawl.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah ? I don't find any problem with loading the post actually . Are you sure it is not a problem on your side ?

Clearing the cache or something will speed it up ?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Maybe. It was something I noticed on our 500 comment day. It took forward to load. I know some who were on mobile has the same issue (I am on laptop).

That said, if there is an issue, we can always break things up if people are having a big problem.

As they say nice problem to have.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hehe right . But don't you think that will cause a problem in projectblank ? Since I think one microblog will have 50-100 ( maybe ;p ) comments on it ?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes it will be interesting to see how they actually do it and connect it to the blockchain.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If we are at a thousand comments a day, how many do you plan to contribute? I am hoping at least 50.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Just an observation:

The more the conversations flow and there is meaning feedback between several parties the long the thread. So yes, if we have more people here the conversations will be richer.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is true , that is why we are focusing on more top-level comments here so that people have something to discuss on .

The more top-level comments + more users = 1000 comments per day .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is why I am a bit skeptical about project blanket. Yes, microblogging is the rave now but we also need to understand the behavior of our community. I know the platform will be open to other communities but I don't think the people here so much about microblogging. If anything they see it as a platform for the masses (not them) and it would bring a lot of value to this space.

Anyways, I enjoy the conversations here. It is easy to get along. Hopefully, the numbers grow this month

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

You would be surprised. Look at all those who are on Hive who were on twitter each day.

Plus look at the Leofinance posts....many of them are better suited for Microblogging than for long form.

I think blank will be a major success. There is little that will stop it.

We also see noisecash having 75K users or something.

Blank should be able to top that in a few months.

Conversations make things a lot easier to add. When we get "conversation flows" going within the threads, that is when things take off.

I think one area we need to concentrate is on better, more interesting topics.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I haven't created a lot of threads recently. My mind has been all over the place. Hopefully, with some level of clarity, I can focus on bringing up interesting and relatable things to discuss next week.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Sometimes the best thing to do is just to keep jumping into all that is already here.

Just participate and thoughts will come to you.

A lot of articles being posted which will help.
