RE: Leo Talk 4/02/2021 -Come Join Our Chat

What is your guess for the number of comments in Leomarkettalk threads for the month of April?

I am going large and saying we will get over 10,000.

That is more than 300 per day. We will have to kick ass but it is possible.

Who is with me?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Sort:

I will try. I got a few things to do so I planned on leaving a few top level comments and coming back later to engage.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Depending on the number of people who comment per day. For example if 15 people make 23 comments per day for 30 days: 23x15=345x30=10,350 That's our 10K for the month.

With 30 people, you can halve that number. It's doable.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes but the more people and comments here, the more @taskmaster4450 and me can comment on to get more engagement. Each comment has a multiplier effect since it causes more comments.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Isnt that the truth?

We can add a great deal more if there are some "conversations" that get going.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Definitely the truth. Conversations are the best thing to get engagement going. This is why more users are important if we want to see plenty of comments.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is true. The key would be to get more people going.

The challenge is that we have not really seen many others join in. However, if we can get a few more active people, we will see the numbers shoot up.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's challenging indeed.

Whenever I see a newcomer post his introduction to LeoFinance I try to direct them here. Not sure if any of them ever got here but I keep trying.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Getting the word out is the best thing. If we can add one or two extra people to the count then we might see an extra 10 comments a day.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

True words. Every little bit helps!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The challenge is that we have not really seen many others join in

We should invite some people over from discord, there are so many comments on there I stopped trying to keep up with it all. Now I just scroll through to see if they dropped any news about Leo and Cub.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Those people wont come over in my opinion. Instead, they prefer to play off chain and bullshit there.

It is really sad but most of them do not even leave many comments in general.

To me, this shows really what they think of the place.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's too bad, It's such a waste of time to only hangout there when there are posts that need to be supported and engaged. I guess they are more traders than they are Hivers.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I agree. They are simply supporting another centralized application, one that might be owned by Microsoft here soon.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I'm not even on discord... I guess I should but I don't think I can keep up.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Let's do it!
I've been a lot less active than I wished for the past 2 weeks dealing with personal shit.

But I believe things are going to improve from now on, so let's do this!

One down, 9,999 to go! (well I know other people already commented here but you get the point LOL)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lol. Get start typing since we need all the comments we can get. A single comment can lead to more comments and the chain continues.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I like your view that each additional comment could be tripled.

That makes a lot of sense. It could be more if we have some interesting topics to focus upon.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

300 everyday is what we can really do, but having it straight up every single day is what I can't say.

Never the less we got to keep digging, let's grab our writing shovels and start work Immediately

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Write up some comments. I'll get back to replying in the morning after I wake up lol.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

We were at 8,000 in the month of March, which is higher than I thought.

2,000 extra a day average is a lot but not totally outlandish.

We can do it I believe.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well it is also the second with this post. We had like 250 yesterday so we are behind a bit already. We need everyone to chip in a bit more.

Thanks for your help in this collective goal.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

With my current Hive power I might be able to do about 10 per day without spending all my credits buddy hahahaha.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Feel free to grab a delegation from the Giftgiver if your RCs are low. It will give you some HP while you want for your rewards to come in.

https://giftgiver.site/

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thank you for this, colleague 👌

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Your welcome. You can also use the faucet to get some HIVE. It comes partially powered up and the other part liquid. This means you might also be able to save enough for some tokens you want in HE.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I will delegate more HP to you if you are interested in commenting more.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ok, if you can do that for me while I get my own Hive power, I'd appreciate it a lot buddy.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Delegated 50 HP to you. That should be enough to carry you forward until you get some Hive flowing into your account.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks a lot for the help buddy. Now I can be more active in the comments while I get my own hive power.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Keep powering up your Hive until you reach atleast 100 HP which should be enough for activities .

If you have any questions related to Hive or Leo or any other tribes feel free to ask it here .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Perfect colleague, thanks for the support.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is a really important level for Blank.

Each person who is serious about it will require 100 HP if they are going to be truly active on there.

It is a number we need to put in the minds of people.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is how it works. Use the HP to generate more Hive for yourself to power up and use it as the means for more Resource Credits. Then you can turn it onto someone else and help them.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Exactly. I plan in the future to help other people who want to get involved in the community. The same way you have helped me with the delegation. I believe we should help those who demonstrate that commitment and desire to bring value to the community.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I saw that task delegated to you . Keep up the good job . If you are so active that even 50 HP isn't enough let me know I will delegate some to you . Just keep engaging more and more :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thank you very much my friend. In fact yes, I plan to be very active daily here in the chat, in the articles of the other brothers and uploading my analysis to my blog. I want to give value to the community as many have been doing. So all help in Hive power I welcome it with pleasure colleague, I will take care to do my job very well and be active constantly.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The best thing to do is to power up the Hive that you get coming in each day. That will help your ability to engage as it grows.

Over time, you will have more than enough to operate without hesitation on here.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Exactly mate, that's what I'll do to be able to stay active without limitations.

We hit 8k + comments in March but we had some good days which had 400 and 500 comments so I don't see why it is not possible for us to hit 1000 this month . Let's shift gears and hit it .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

You mean 10,000 not 1,000.

And while we did have some big days, we also had some very poor ones. Hence, if we are more consistent, raising the low end, then we can get away without having the huge days.

Without looking, we had some days in the low 100s. We need to focus upon 300 as our daily minimum level.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ah yes I missed a 0 lol .

True , the pattern was like "Too high , too low" . Instead we can focus on 300 per day ( which will result in 9000 ) so maybe around 333 lol .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes we have to average more than 300 or we will be below the 10K.

Thus we need to average closer to the 333, so having a few 400 comment days a week will help a great deal.

It is possible when we think about it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

i cant say for such but as we have more entrants we can see things move up quickly. maybe a thousand comments per day

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Another good thing, is that each of these threads is also being indexed by Google. So as the parent site gains domain age, more people should find us outside of Hive and LeoFinance when we mention for instance, Brands and products that they may be searching for. As we keep plugging away, it'll get better over time.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am not following. Could you elaborate more on this?

What can we do in hear to help that along?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Keep doing what you're doing. For example, if you talk about the new Tesla Starlink internet service, since this thread is a post. Google will find it when it's posted. Suzy soccer mom, does a google search for Starlink internet service, and if we're lucky, she just might scroll down and see our discussion about it and "CLICK."

I still get tweets about tweets I made months ago on Twitter, because Google indexes tweets as well.

When I had my Blogger page, I used to login every day to see where my traffic was coming from. Over time, I started getting noticed on Google, hence the name EverNoticeThat.

If I saw that a post was getting a lot of hits to my page from a forum, I'd go over, create an account and start a discussion and over time, some may become regulars on my site. I keep saying "over time" because that what you need.

I used to search for tech messageboards and leave comments. Everyday. Then check my visitor logs to see where traffic was coming from. Almost everytime I wrote about Apple for instance, I would see visits from Cupertino, California where the headquarters are. Somebody there was reading my stuff! :)

Apple users tend to be very brand loyal, because they make great products and the company was "beleaguered" for so long until Steve Jobs came back.

I used to live over on the Appleinsider Forums, tons of Mac users over there, with many shall we say "spirited" discussions going on. I'd visit to see what was hot and what questions people had and then build a post around that. Haven't used it in years though.

Knowing where your traffic is coming from can be very helpful in knowing your audience and can help to tailor your writing to bring in more site visitors.

It'd be nice if we had a feature like that here. You'd likely be surprised where the traffic on Hive and Leofinance is coming from.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Does a thread like this help a great deal?

We have a variety of topics that come up each day along with a number of links to different stories/articles. Sure they are links out but it cant hurt.

Is there more we can do in here to help things along?

Posting more links? Any keywords we should focus upon?

Should we be talking a lot about "Bitcoin" or "cryptocurrency" and use those terms?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Loading...

Well we have been doing this for over 3 months now and we don't see many new entrants who consistently stay here . Thousand comments per day is possible if we have like atleast 50 users over here discussing .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hopefully, that changes this month. Maybe we should go out of our way to talk more about leotalk and create more awareness for the initiative

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

We say that each month. LOL

Either way, those of us here will keep pushing things forward. It is up to us to bring up stimulating conversation topics, something that we seem to be lacking for the most part.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

We say that each month. LOL

🤧🤧

I think another issue is that the few of us here are in different time zones. So conversations aren't always fluid. That could change if there were more people. We will make do of what we have nevertheless.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is a very valid point. We do have people all over the world and there are a lot of dead times as we know. Most of us have to sleep at some point. LOL

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If we have thousands of comments per day, we would have to put up three or four posts per day since the delay would be incredible.

The timing of the loading would be slowed to a crawl.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah ? I don't find any problem with loading the post actually . Are you sure it is not a problem on your side ?

Clearing the cache or something will speed it up ?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Maybe. It was something I noticed on our 500 comment day. It took forward to load. I know some who were on mobile has the same issue (I am on laptop).

That said, if there is an issue, we can always break things up if people are having a big problem.

As they say nice problem to have.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hehe right . But don't you think that will cause a problem in projectblank ? Since I think one microblog will have 50-100 ( maybe ;p ) comments on it ?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes it will be interesting to see how they actually do it and connect it to the blockchain.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If we are at a thousand comments a day, how many do you plan to contribute? I am hoping at least 50.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Just an observation:

The more the conversations flow and there is meaning feedback between several parties the long the thread. So yes, if we have more people here the conversations will be richer.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is true , that is why we are focusing on more top-level comments here so that people have something to discuss on .

The more top-level comments + more users = 1000 comments per day .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is why I am a bit skeptical about project blanket. Yes, microblogging is the rave now but we also need to understand the behavior of our community. I know the platform will be open to other communities but I don't think the people here so much about microblogging. If anything they see it as a platform for the masses (not them) and it would bring a lot of value to this space.

Anyways, I enjoy the conversations here. It is easy to get along. Hopefully, the numbers grow this month

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

You would be surprised. Look at all those who are on Hive who were on twitter each day.

Plus look at the Leofinance posts....many of them are better suited for Microblogging than for long form.

I think blank will be a major success. There is little that will stop it.

We also see noisecash having 75K users or something.

Blank should be able to top that in a few months.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Conversations make things a lot easier to add. When we get "conversation flows" going within the threads, that is when things take off.

I think one area we need to concentrate is on better, more interesting topics.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I haven't created a lot of threads recently. My mind has been all over the place. Hopefully, with some level of clarity, I can focus on bringing up interesting and relatable things to discuss next week.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Sometimes the best thing to do is just to keep jumping into all that is already here.

Just participate and thoughts will come to you.

A lot of articles being posted which will help.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I'll do my best, in the worst case scenario I can take the blame for failure :P

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I won't blame you. Its a team effort by those of us participating.
