That's because the way to earn the most money on Hive is to be here a long time and get on autovoters.

Which only works on long form.

Those with stake are literally incentivising the behaviour that is detrimental to their investment

1-I know, that's why I never bothered here much. I signed up 7 years, but only put in real effort twice for 3 months each. It was too much like a job, while earning pennies, because I won't suck dick for votes.

2-It isn't about content, it's about relationship building

1/3: Exactly this.

And the content itself completely doesn't matter at all.

What you write is not linked to your earnings in any way.

2/3: The HIVE blockchain incentivises repetitive spam to spread its governance token.

But its up to layer-2's like LEO to use their token to monetise the content.

3/3: Here on Threads, we run ads that generate revenue.

To maximise ad views, we don't want repetitive spam, we want quality so people come back.

So let's start incentivising that type of behaviour!!

If that's true, then why don't they curate content posted to other communities through their frontend? The only curation I see still only wants financial content.

They need to ONLY curate leofinance.io content because that's where they earn ad revenue.

Why would they pay LEO for content on peakd.com which doesn't earn ad revenue?

Khal said all blogs on Hive past present and future can be evergreened. That means that if Leo shows all the Hive blockchain content it all brings clicks

The only way that LEO can earn money from content is if people are viewing an ad on the leofinance.io version.

It's can't be the everything app if it only sticks to one genre

That's a different argument...

Can they generate more views (and thus revenue) by niching down, or going open slather and having no direction?

True

I try to do that with each vote I cast - favoring my votes toward people who have back and forth engagement like in your threads here

It can’t just be me tho. Leading from the front but ppl need to follow

Combine with evergreen
