One takeaway for me in Atomic Habits is that progress is in fact a curve and not linear, and results are usually way less than expected for most of the beginning of a journey. #hivelearners

A classic. Concentrating on the minor changes and habits, along with systems to keep us on track which add up to huge gains over time

Systems are crucial. Something that is often overlooked.

Indeed… actually makes more sense this way round, rather than goal first. Have a vision for sure, but work on the systems, habits and daily actions which lead you to it. That's what you have control over after all…

And the most overrated are goals. Systems that take one there matter the most.

Goals are nothing but a direction. I see a lot of people with goals but few with a system.

Goals are not the answer people think they are.

it is how we start the year with resolutions without actual systems to make them happen, and then we wonder when July comes what happened to our goals. I am guilty, but I have learned to do better now.

Bullseye! And that's the beauty of not being dismayed by the valley of disappointment—the part where it seems like there is no apparent growth. What book are you reading now?

'The Daily Stoic' by Ryan Holiday

Without a doubt. They become exponential over time as we develop habit patterns that enhance things and move it forward.

Yes. And it all gets automated in our minds that we save time and do things more efficiently. It works everywhere. And example is how fast I type now; boy, was it damn hard at first. I went from 10 to 82 WPM in a year.

I really like James Clear. I read his newsletter every week

Sweet! I have been getting the newsletter, but I haven't been reading, sadly. What is it about the most recent one that you like?

perfectly true

I guess

I would really like to understand physics, but I'm a disaster at this content, I'm glad it's a book that helps you on your journey.

Physics, eh? I know how scary it may look at first glance at problems. But trust me, it gets easier as you keep at practicing problems.

This book is amazing! I've read it and it gave me a lot of insights into how to be a person with better habits. It is undoubtedly a great suggestion for people who want to change their bad habits.

There were so many powerful things about the book that made me change certain things about my life. Most importantly, it changed my perspective and thinking on how to truly hone the art of making good habits and doing away with bad ones.
