RE: 7 Years on Hive - Highlights and lessons learned

in LeoFinance9 days ago

Mate I defo could have been 100K by now but I swapped soem for BTC and then that went up so I wasn't swapping back - and I paid off the last of my mortage too. Now I'm not working I needed the HIVE so I've bottomed out a bit, which upset me but hey I have realised that doesn't matter. Just us showing up and engaging makes us good players and an important part of the ecosystem. We don't need the power :P he he -

Thanks for being an important part of Hive - your #ttt gives us all something to write about when we're stuck and to find some good tunes, which is pretty bloody awesome.

Here's to the next 7, unless we finally think 'wtf are we doing with our lives' and get offline at last.

Game changer! That's excellent, must be a lovely feeling to have the mortgage fully paid down.

Ya true enough, I've only dipped in once to try and test moving it to Binance. I will probably do so again during this Bull cycle, if we go above $1 Hive, which I'm hopeful of.

Ha ha ha, the funny thing is I've fucked off all other social media years ago and find them utterly pointless, time wasting vanity, but Hive I like..

Cheers for the kind words on #TTT too my friend 👍

Facebook is awful but I still have more real life connections there, and God help me, Instagram and threads too. I'm a sucker for connections.

We didn't have a huge mortgage by today's standards and have psychologically worked hard to be debt free at 50 which is super rare I'm told. We don't have much money but we don't owe it either. We paid it off about three years ago... hive and Bitcoin paid the last 20k so I have no regrets at all.

I just don't want to work like a bitch til I'm 70. I mean I will still have to but not as much as if I still had a mortgage. So grateful to this platform.

That's sweet the mortgage. No matter what the world throws at ye, the roof will always be safely over yer head and noone can take that off ye. You will have also saved tonnes in interest paying it off quickly. So many people dont truly understand the numbers to see the crazy amount of interest they pay. 2,3,4% sounds low until you compound it.

That's a great target on the debt free bit, my target is 55. Hopefully Crypto might help speed it up and then there's the new kitchen my wife wants which will slow it down a bit, but you've live too. Great idea by you guys having a target though. Much more likely to get there if you have a target like that.

Look I'm 53 and Jamie's 51, so I reckon we're on the money, so to speak. We aren't rich and never will be but at least we don't have to work as hard anymore and can slow down a bit.

Great outlook and you guys enjoy plenty of travel and fun activities too. So ye have a perfect balance paying down the debt, but also remembering to live along the way 👌
