Thank you. I am stating the fact that one of the biggest soccer clubs in Spain lost against one of the mid sized clubs in England. It's fun to follow the results. :)
Don't be too hard on yourself on this one. Enjoy the best of the both worlds. Local football is fine to promote but don't need to hate the money pumping, media frenzy professional extravaganza :)
All pro sports are big business and can get too greedy. NHL did it a few years back with all the outdoor games, like 8 in a season. Overexposure watered down the original New Years Day winter classic.
It's the Europa League.
Getting knocked out of this annoying distraction is the real win.
I know nothing of this sport but I love your sentiment and somehow know what you mean & agree with you. #purist #respect
The Europa League is essentially a cup for all the losers and nearly winners.
And you know what nearly winning is?
LOSING! 😂
ha ha. That's true. But, what do you say to those who did not even nearly win? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOSERS :P

You're not yet at my level of jadedness 😉.
Ha ha. okay. What made you this jaded? That's the actual question.
I still take a romantic view of having an emotional connection to your local football club.
But modern football only exists to line pockets of foreign owners, league administrators and tv execs.
