big fan of #sports
I wish we can keep it up in #threads
yes. we will. I hope we can generate engagements on #football when there are high profile matches
Here in the States #football season is over. It is all about #USFL.
I think you are talking more about #ucl #premierleague #laliga #ligue1 etc... Alone all #sports can be a force in #threads
We have MLS in North America. Does not matter which #sports, we need to create forum for all those to support threads.
What's the feeling in Canada around fans choosing to support say the Toronto MLS club compared to one of the Canadian Premier League clubs?
You mean MLS vs CPL? Nobody watches CPL games. We have a sizeable fanbase for TFC.
This setup has its pros and cons.
Your best young players have a pathway to a fully professional team.
But the league will always do whats best for US/Australian football, not your own.
I agree. look at alphonso davies. he is now playing Europe. He was with Vancouver in MLS. Our MNT is also doing good though. Football is gaining prominence but it will need time.
It sounds similar to New Zealand and Australia.
NZ has the 1 team in the fully professional Australian A-League (the Wellington Phoenix).
But their own NZ domestic league is only semi-pro.
We have three MLS clubs in Canada. Vancouver Whitecaps, TFC and Montreal Canadiens. Our CPL clubs are semi-pro as you noted.
I support TFC
