RE: Tariffs Are Going To Bring Manufacturing Back… err, sorta

in LeoFinance6 days ago

The thing about China that a lot of people have missed, is that most of their manufacturing goes to the developing world. If you go to Africa or South-east Asia, all the cars are Chinese. They've completely taken market share from Japan, Korea and Europe.

And the developing world isn't in a position to make stuff themselves. So China has plenty of customers for it's goods for the next two decades.

Sort:

I wish it was that good of an outlook for China.

Cutting costs, and using subsidies to corner markets only get you so far.
Until Africa starts making money, there is little money flowing to goods, from any source.

That is the nice thing about distributed manufacturing. In that it brings cash flow to local manufacturers. And I believe we will see this world wide.

We also have to remember that China, just recently, started making ball point pens all by themselves. And that was with a lot of CCP encouragement and money.

Chinese electric cars are bursting into flames all over. And other tragic manufacturing failures.

I see so much pain for China in the near future, as many things come crashing down. However, i am sure that they will be very good at distributed manufacturing. The Chinese people, without the CCP. And the people will have a better future.

And in the process developed famine that rivaled the death count of WW2, because they ship too much of their own products over seas.
