It is true that ads brings more income to a platform and a content creator, but bringing web2 ads system into web3 should be controlled. Ads that give money to a user can be very annoying to other users.
Let me give am instance -
There are times when you want to watch a youtube video, and ads keep showing every 5mins of the video, it is very annoying to the viewer.
The best ads pattern that suite web3 should be in form of a banner that should be attached only to a page of a user, then the banner can be posted in a main forum alongside a written article.
Agreed so that comes down to a balance of ads over what the person is getting. Also some data collection has to happen IMO in order to show relevant ads to people. I hear both sides of it. 1 people don't like ads because they are so random or off target or 2 they hate ads because there's too many of time. A balance of both and a way to keep things anonymous and not sold will be critical to the success of web3. Relevant ads are going to have to be a requirment to some degree including targeting those ads tot he right people.
