I dont think that is needed. But in the west, dating is a foolish game.
But we learn it from the west..
It's not interesting again because it's usefulness have been exhausted. That's my view
The dating scene in the west is dying. So I am not sure you should follow anything the west is doing with relationships.

In my own opinion 6 months should be long enough.
I think i shouldn't last more than 2 years, because is enough to know someone.
