I don't think EU will collapse, especially not by 2030 :)
Yes Europe is technologically behind, but in some ways the AI revolution might hit USA and China harder than EU. The reason in my mind is that in USA people work more hours and take less vacation than Europe same with China. What are we going to do when AI and AI powered robotics will displace a significant percentage of our workforce? At least Europeans are already getting used to handling high un-employment
