AMA for newbies at INLEO

Ask anything about Leo Hive or Hive related projects. I will answer whatever I know and If I can’t answer you hopefully someone else can
#threadcast

Sort:

Blogging can be a real pain sometimes and I know you're not supposed to force yourself to do it, if you don't feel like it. But for those who do it regularly, what's your secret?

This is super great, thank for this section..

A good initiative! Hope many will drop by and ask questions

Nice, why did Leo tank. Been here for months, I saw it at 0.1 then now 0.02, I think it did 0.016 some weeks back. Is it the General market sentiment, or somethings really bad happened?

I think one old whale sold because they had disagreements with the team. Leo doesn’t have a positive or negative market sentiment. It’s generally not known or understood. If people understood it they’d be buying like crazy. Thats the only challenge I believe and it’s being addressed.

If there is one or two new people trying to become whales here you’ll see the price recover very quickly. It’s a small supply

What's up with the proposal, it's now down to 77. I heard BT unvoted the return proposal so who else voted it or unsupported

I'm not really a #newbie but I'm also not an old guy around here. Is it okay for me to join this gang

oh a threadcast from you 🥹🥹🥹 happy to be here it's dedicated for newbies... Wow time to meet some new friends. I hope you're doing fine today @selfhelp4trolls

Holy Crap 🥹🥹😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 is it just me or did I just see you delegate over 300HP to me 🥹🥹😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🥹🥹🥹😍😍🥹😍😍 man I'm set for InLeo and Hive 😍🥹😍🥹

comment on the top level thread rather than replies. It makes it easier for everyone to chime in.

I’ve been part of this community for 7 years mostly as a blogger but I’ve been aware of development and many many projects on chain

Hive has no company or CEO behind it. It’s effectively a DAO, not perfect but maybe one of the best examples in crypto other than Bitcoin.

Leo is an everything app built on top of the Hive ecosystem. So most transactions here occur on the Hive blockchain but are streamlined for a more dynamic experience with more to do.

Sorry INLEO. Some of us call it Leo.

it used to be called Leo Finance and focus on investing and finance topics but now it’s opened up to all topics.

When it rebranded to INLEO and opened up to other topics, I saw the innovation here and moved over from peakd, which is a great front end but in my opinion INLEO is solving Hive’s most fundamental problems.

Some of Hive’s biggest problems before:

1 Limitations of top-level posting:

For a long time anything you posted for others to see easily would be done as a top level post. That means your short form and blogs and pictures and videos would al be mixed together on most front ends. It was kind of a mess

INLEO created container posts where all threads could be posted onto the blockchain as comments, and made it so that these comments would show up as threads in their front end. That means short form and long form are no longer mixed. Ecency and Peakd both created their own version but INLEO is evolving the fastest.

Some of Hive’s biggest problems before:
2 Limitations of top-level posting part 2:
INLEO also created a solution for short level video. Before when you posted a 15 second video it would be posted along with your long form videos on 3speak (the major video platform on Hive) and along with your blog posts on other front-ends.

INLEO created a mechanism where you could upload a short video on INLEO and they'd post it in one of their own accounts and make you the rewards beneficiary so the rewards will go to you instead of their container account. Then on INLEO frontend, those short videos show up as yours even though technically they are done through Leo's account.

These may sound like small developments but they were things that the community struggled with for a long time, because the way short and long form are valued is different and people didn't like to see 20 second videos earning $20 rewards because it created a sense that quality didn't matter.

Some of Hive’s biggest problems before:

3 Not everyone blogs

By making short form video and short form text easier, INLEO has made something that many more people are inclined to engage with, because not everyone wants to blog regularly, and in fact, many people are not interested in blogs and vlogs. Most people are interested in short form content.

So this made INLEO an attractive app in the crypto ecosystem and made Hive a much more attractive investment

Some of Hive’s biggest problems before:

4 Onboarding

Hive's biggest problem, hands down, has always been onboarding. When you explain it simply it sounds too good to be true. It is true...but the honeymoon phase can lead to unrealistic expectations.

People put a ton of effort into things like social media campaigns, failing to realize that the algorithms punished link dropping, and so so much energy was wasted at X. They put lots of energy into referral programs that were complicated and turned off new users. INLEO made referral's with less friction so we could onboard people by just sending them links to our blogs. The URL has our referral in it.

Click the 3 dotes and copy link to see for yourself. If you copy my post it'll have my referral

Some of Hive’s biggest problems before:

5 Signup friction

Signing up at Hive has always been complicated....it's crypto after all, but it's a social platform so we want to attract casual users, not only hardcore crypto people. Hive keychain has done the most on this front. They've made login into different Hive front-ends much much easier. But INLEO brought us light accounts which allows people to sign up through X or keystore etc.

Some of Hive’s biggest problems before:

6 Leaking value

One of my favorite things about INLEO is how they are trying to create more use cases for Hive and they are creating their own income streams rather than just relying on investment from the Hive community indefinitely.

So premium and subscriptions aren't just an income stream for INLEO but a use case for HBD which is Hive's stablecoin. It keeps money in the ecosystem. That money is put into liquidity pools and doesn't leave the ecosystem immediately. In the future I hope to see more of a marketplace for HBD, which some other projects have already tried, Hivelist and SpendHBD being the first to come to mind.

This is not to dismiss the good work by other front-ends! Ecency has done great in making a usable iOS and Android app which I use for notifications on my phone. Peakd spearheaded the use of community tokens 4 or 5 years ago and is focused on AI image generation now. Peakd beat us to AI functionality (auto-translate, summarize, audio version of posts), but INLEO is catching up in a very big way, with auto-translation coming very soon and I imagine these other features as well.

I signed up to Inleo ecency and Peakd frontend... I'm surprised there are that many front ends to one Blockchain Hive. I presume the notification feature must be why you could see my replies 🤔 I get it now
I thought I was ignored by some

3speak our video platform is working on SPK which is a monetized version of IPFS so you can earn money hosting videos. Splinterlands was the most successful tokenized game for a while and still has a huge community. VSC is working on smart contracts. Vimm is working on streaming video

Should be a slow one for another 2-3 hours because most people are still sleeping in 2/3 of the world, but feel free to ask any questions.

NFT showroom focuses on NFT art, Hivelist was a great idea for a Hive marketplace, I believe it's still active. WAIVIO is a way to earn from affiliate links built on Hive Spend HBD and Distriator together are trying to onboard physical shops to receive HBD

Personally, I use Hive mostly for blogging, but I really enjoy threads and shorts at INLEO. I share a lot of my music and videos here as well.

You can find my EP on spotify, Apple music or Youtube by searching "Sun Shone Blue". I prefer this even to an upvote!

Or check out my music youtube here for music videos, subscribing and watchign my videos is the best way to support me, even better than an upvore.:

You meant to say upvote? Or is upvore a word?

As an investment, I think INLEO is very sound and extremely undervalued. The development is amazing and so fundamentals are incredibly high. We just lack the hype for that kind of volatile speculation. If you can hold on to your coins for a year or two, I think you will do very very very well. Not financial advice.

Oh although you added not financial advice... I think I'll be able to hold it for a year and see how it changes 😍

It's a very limited supply and most of it is staked or in liquidity pools already. Just a few new whales and the price is bound to go up parabolically. And to be a LEO whale just costs a few thousand USD. 150k LEO for around $4000 USD at these prices. That's crazy and I think only 2 or 3 more people will be able to buy that much LEO under .07 Hive. It seems every 100k-200k Leo bought the price will rise 0.01 against Hive right now. Just my observations.

They couldn’t do that all at once though. I highly doubt the liquidity is there. The price would pump like one of the Korean Hive buys, 🤣 Then dump right back down.

well I bought 70k last week. I think there is 2-3x that much in hidden orders between 0.06 and 0.07 hive

Well ain't you something, lol. I don't see enough benefit in staking that much of the token, IMO, other than just social clout. I have been focused on rebuilding my Hive Power so that I can delegate and earn liquid LEO that way, as well as building a solar powered mining farm, and restacking up my main assets like XMR and LTC after spending it all on the miners, lol. As we have seen with the DHF, we need more lions to put focus into Hive Power so we have that say so in layer 1 governance. If they were to ever decide to fork from Hive, then yeah, I would stake up hard pre-fork, but until then, I have to go with building layer 1 stake.

then this thing has to be kept and safeguarded I doubt I'll sell any unless I'm selling to buy more later

As for Hive as an investment, I think it's valued perfectly for it's current user base. We need more users to deserve a higher market cap, and we will get them thanks to Leo. It's still worth powering up Hive though because it increases your upvote across all hive front-ends, and also increases your upvote with regards to governance.

You mentioned governance... That means the ruling is by the power which means it's by how much investment has been made which means how much money determines how much power..🤔

yes, honestly I think it’s a flawed system but considering we don’t want to sacrifice anonymity as an options it seems to be the only sustainable way on blockchain right now.

This is just my opinion but I think crypto only solves a few problems. Important problems to solve but there is so much it doesn’t solve. The ability to fork may balance it out though.

yes I believe forking should work fine... So I'm your opinion how long do u think it'll take until Decentralized systems become more popular... I'm seeing Decentralized exchanges picking up so well and people are seeing it's value

I'll be here popping in all day to answer questions, so ask away!

With pleasure... What would you recommend as the right hashtags and communities to be in as a newbie. Also assuming entertainment is the niche. Also I see some people have a checkmark badge

hashtags don’t usually seem to matter much. I would say join 2 or 3 communities based on the kind of entertainment. I know there’s a movie community and a music community and a game community. You are best off choosing 3 and slowly getting to know people in each. And slowly branch out from there

I see your comments in notifications now!

yes man you've helped me solve that issue and I can't thank you enough for that 🥹🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥

Then I'll be searching for the right communities..

I didn't even get around to talking about all the integrations INLEO is doing! That is #7 problem that INLEO is fixing, and I'll talk about it in detail another time.

oh can't wait to see that man. I'm starting to realize all the improvements are happening at a really fast pace and for programming I believe that's when bugs and issues happen mostly..so the bugs actually mean we're making moves 🔥💪

What problem?

I think one old whale sold because they had disagreements with the team. Leo doesn’t have a positive or negative market sentiment. It’s generally not known or understood. If people understood it they’d be buying like crazy. I’m wondering this too. If the proposal went through I think it’d be great for the chain but 2 or 3 people seem to be trying to prevent that.

I love it. I’d do it if you didn’t pay me. Maybe not as often but almost.

And I read a lot of blogs and engaged in initiatives. I made a lot of friends. It works. Just takes some patience.

I would need help with with RC too if you're offering to help. Don't know I should have bought HP instead of premium with my last 10 bucks on Binance

Delegated 100 HP. Didn’t know you as well. Hope it’s enough 🌊

Keep engaging. Don’t get discouraged. There’s a lot going on. It’s hard to keep track so people will miss your posts sometimes but engagement over time makes them remember you and wanna support you more!!

Where can I find the chart of Hive second layer token like Leo and read it?

If you wanna see tokens you can check hive-engine.com. Most of the tokens are crap though

If you wanna see front end projects check out https://hive.io/eco

Ok will stay clear of them and focus on Leo and hive for now.

Thank you I'm checking it out ASAP

Not every project is crap but it’s very hard to prevent people from just bleeding value out when they don’t have a reason to hold long term.

Bro coin tries very hard. holozing has built a community. Then there are others that would do very well if they could build that community but have hard a harder time like Hivelist, vimm and Waivio which I conceptually love and have dedicated development but not much use age. I hope that will change as hive grows

What you've said is very true for all assets, the utility is very important.
Didn't know there is this number of different front ends on hive. The site you gave me had quite a number there. Thank you. Will explore all of them

I don't use most of them regular but some are really cool ideas. What attracts me to INLEO is I think they know how much of an uphill battle it is and they come up with creative solutions to bring the whole Hive Ecosystem forward in a reasonable time frame. 3speak/SPK network is similar but what they are doing is so huge, I think they will need a bigger team to make real progress.

3speak is like the YouTube of the whole Blockchain right? At least that's what it's looking like to me with all that I'm seeing. Does that mean every video someone create on this Blockchain can be seen there?

Thats alot of front ends
