Tokenized Real World Assets on Hive, Part 3

Real World Asset Trading on Hive

  • I just read a few articles in this community on RWA in general and RWA on Hive.
  • These are my thoughts.

RWA real world assets

  • tokenized RWA are the future of finance
  • Hive needs to get on that train

Blackrock Part 1

  • Blackrock, the worlds largest asset manager has spoken to the advantages of this asset group and it's first product BIDL has sold more shares then they imagined.
  • This begs the question, BIDL is sold on Ethereum, because Ethereum has the infrastructure to handle the smart contracts necessary for this to work.
  • Hive doesn't currently have this infrastructure, but may have it in the future.
  • I ask the question, do we need to have this infrastructure or are there other ways to do this?

Blackrock part 2

  • BIDL has been widely successful as a fund for Blackrock.
  • In fact they have decided to make it possible for more people buy BIDL shares by wrapping them and offering them on Avalanche, and a few other EVM compatible blockchains.
  • But is EVM compatibility a requirement to get a share of this action?
  • As I thought this through I ask what's to stop us from having wrapped versions of BIDL here on Hive.
  • What's to stop us from buying BIDL tokens and creating a ETF for BIDL here on Hive?
  • I couldn't think of any reasons whay not.

Swap.BIDL

  • I don't have swap.bitcoin, or swap.litecoin or any of the other swap.coins
  • I want the original and not a wrapped version where I have to trust anyone, even people like those behind swap.coins
  • I think it would be better for those developers and idea makers to work out a way to use our tokens to buy BIDL on Ethereium via Thorswap or cacaoswap.
  • I think cross blockchain swaps via Thorchain's technology is the safest technology.

Thorswap / Cacaoswap

  • I think that the developers and financial investors of cacaoswap would love to see volume on Cacaoswap like that on of BIDL on Ethereum.

  • I think it would be great to involve Hive in that discussion, but it maybe to soon for another blockchain to become connectable on Cacaoswap, but perhaps through Ethereum. A stablecoin -bidl trading pair on arbitrum may be just what the doctor ordered. USDC already exists there, although using the EU compliant stablecoins being produced by Tether Limited might be a better way to go.. Or someone could seize the bull by the horns and create their own stablecoin on arbitrum, create a trading pair and sit back and watch money flow into their coffers.

  • I guess a situation where you duplicated USDT's webpage where people buy USDT with USD and then turn around an buy treasuries like USDT does by making it possible for people to own BIDL token outside buy swapping assets from their blockchain for BIDL through trades on Thorswap and Cacaoswap.

  • Perhaps I am giving away to much of the secret sauce, but I doubt it.

  • What do you think?
