Yeah I hear you... curious to how you envision such a fork and what the resulting distribution looks like. I've always felt like we need a better reputation system in place in order to navigate such "airdrops" more effectively.
I can't speak on this at this time.
i have meetings next week with a bunch of game studios to discuss this topic.
I IMX will be there presenting their vision.
We also have been working with the Hydra / ADA project.
A lot going on.
I have pushed for Hive to be a major component and have studios do Hive buys for RC but showing proof of concept has been tough when projects on Hive want to stonewall.
Like a simple question. "show me the 10 lines of code for that' "what do you think about this approach???"
The answer is always "here is a link to the repo"
Well that does not fly in a lot of industries. If you do not have the personnel to sit and work through a few lines of code. You are not considered ready / professional.
This is why the proposal Vaultec wanted to do of having a team like that funded by the DHF would have been so useful.
I honestly am afraid it is too late. The last 24 months were pivotal and "big fish in a small pond" mental has risked our future.
The mentality of wondering why you have to ask for permission to build on permissionless stacks... is the problem? Would have been a lot easier to just answer the question with an example rather than saying I'm the problem. I'm not the problem, I assure you.
Right... yes, I agree that pretty much all the business models that currently exist on Hive are quite incorrect and not within the spirit of open-source decentralization. This answers the question pretty well because I've run into this issue a couple times in my adventures.
seems like a pretty bad sign considering you're a dev that builds here
it is.
and the largest reason why is because of the lack of professionalism and cooperation.
I talk about this all the time.
TBH in the web2 studio talks (which I will be doing in Vegas next week) the talk is just to fork the tech (chain) and bypass the ego's.
Amateur unkown actors is not good for business or growth.
Sorry ranting at this point.
It makes me laugh the accounts worth less than a $1M USD destroying a chain that could be worth 100x that.
i mean most of my companies do that in a quarter.
etc.. etc.. etc...

Having trouble 100% grasping what this means.
Why do you require random projects on Hive to cooperate with this vision?
this mental right here.
is what i am talking about.
So I will continue to just build.
Honestly look in the mirror and think about why this statement is a large reason why Hive is not looked upon as a place to do business or invest.

My point was I don't need anyone but doing the walled garden approach is failing.
This is why microsoft / wotc etc.. are more interested in a fork then buying up Hive.

TBH this is why I have had better luck working with ADA and the game projects etc... on their chain.
big things coming this year that will bridge multiple chains. (and not just from a token/defi point of view0
