Lol.. The thing is when you say thank you, you have absolutely nothing to lose & almost everything to gain.
I always say thank you for little things people do to me because I know the person also have a choice not to do it.

Exactly! It costs merely a breath to say "thank you," or if you don't feel like talking, a few small muscle movements to nod and smile. I'm simply led to believe that this is either entitlement of plain rudeness.
