When initiative10 was around, we tried to get people to make 10 comments per day..
Yeah and sadly that was like pulling teeth. It is unreal how many want the benefits of growth yet refuse to participate. Although it should not be surprising.
50-60 comments per day is really challenging. It would be less challenging if I found more content that resonates with me. It is easy to engage with the things and people you fancy. Better quality posts>
Like task said, just find something you can talk about and I think @leomarkettalk can help you improve your count. Reading less but still starting a conversation.
Be proud over the things you've done each day and don't stop until you are satisfied with what you've accomplished. I tell my patients something in those lines multiple times per week..
jfang is your twin. You lot are cut from the same cloth. I understand jgang's ability to churn out a lot of comments. He doesn't post but you, on the other hand, do both. Really what's your secret? I want to know
humanly impossible to pass him. I have adopted his strategy but still, I find it difficult to scale over 200 comments. I will try another attempt this week.
Haha, yeah. TM4450 is crazy, but he also has a lot more spare time than me. If I wouldn't work ~50 hours per week on average, I could potentially up my numbers a bit as well.
That being said, no matter how much- or little time one has, I truly believe that one should always be able to produce 10-15 comments per day on average. If you are an active content creator.
I wish you the best of luck this week. I'll make sure to reach beyond my own numbers from last week.
two of you are the real machines. But we need to give it to Task, I don't know how he manages to churn out content and comments the way he does. I would most likely break down if I did.
Yea I would break down if I was him but I think it's easy for him to write posts and he doesn't need to think as much to get it done. 4 posts a day plus like 200 comments a day is crazy.
Conversations in the comment section can actually enhance an article in a major way. To start, the knowledge spread can often outpace what is in the article. We also see how things can really help the SEO by extending the article. From what I understand the search engine do not differentiate between what is in the article versus the comment section. Hence it all is tallied up.
Yeah, I sort of told this in a comment I just made, but you are totally right. The converstations is valuable for SEO purposes as well as to look attractive to outsiders. No one wants to join a community without active users.
Honestly speaking, I think it's more or less impossible for you to continue to pull all of the dead weight much longer. You've been pulling a shit ton of weight so far.
One would either have to come up with a solution for it to be beneficial in terms of rewards for people who engage, so they feel appreciated and encouraged enough to continue.
Or, you ignore this entirely and just continue to trust the rather few active people to continue to make hundreds of comments for mostly dead ears.
The latter won't work in the long haul though. No one has that much energy, and it wouldn't work even if you upped your game. You can't have a handful of people being active all over a community. You need more people to pull this off, but people willing to make comments are nowhere to be seen.
You're a machine...You had 50% more comments than I made but I was expecting a 1,400 week from you based on the rate of your comments coming out.

The site down for 3/4 of a day screwed me up. I was shooting for that but oh well.
Wanted to make a statement. We will have to see what next week brings.

I feel that you could literally stop making comments and still be on top of the leaderboards. It's impossible for a human to catch up to you.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
@jfang003 passed me a few times.
There were a few others who crept in. It is easy to make comments when you enjoy interacting with others.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The weeks I passed you were the weeks where you were slacking off. I think I was doing like 50-60 comments a day.

10 comments a day would put you on the list even if it's not that far up. So it's a bit sad that it never took off.

Yes it is a challenge, I do agree with that. The easiest part to really increase the number of comments is for us to really start these conversations.
Always easier to reply to a comment someone else makes.

Yes I did have a wrist issue that made typing tough. Took me twice as long to write my articles. Was a bitch.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Has that recovered? I guess I can probably stick to 2nd place most of the time then.

Bring your A-game and no one will ever keep up. That's all I'm saying.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It is a goal we all should have: bringing our A-game.

Pretty accurate here as well actually.

Dedication and focus. It is simply a matter of making sure we immerse ourselves in commenting.
Reply to every comment put on your blog posts (excluding the bullcrap nice post ones). The reply, if possible, to the comments on your comments.
Also visit @leomarkettalk and help to revive that. If we can get that going again, it will be helpful.

Yeah, I agree with the leomarkettalk option. I have been active in the sub community and it has been great engaging with like minded individuals

Yea that was affecting me as well. If it wasn't, I might have aimed for a 1k week. I am not sure if I have that much time every week though.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You are crazy as well jfang. I seriously don't understand how any of you are capable of making this much comments.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Just find a comment or a post and comment. So all you need to do is type and it's easy once you get used to it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I would love to blame things on the fact that I am typing in my second language, but I don't have that much to say.. I guess I suck as a person. lol

I type pretty fast. I'm just having a hard time figuring out what to type.. :D
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
LOL that is another matter altogether. That is why conversations in the comment sections is so important. It makes engagement a lot easier.
Sadly most do not reply to comments made to them.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That is very, very true and I've never liked the idea of having authors not responding to their audience.
I can see why it would be difficult for some and that it would happen from time to time, but ignoring your audience completely is a dick move.

Agreed. If Leofinance is dead, nobody from the outside is going to look to boost it.
We are the ones who have to do it.
