It is not likely that you will get more than 12% curating. You could but I find most do not. Of course, there should be other motivation for curating other than just the APR.
Also, with HIVE you do have the potential that the token price moves up. Hence, it is good to have both. But a baseline of 12% with HBD is not a bad part of a portfolio.
