Depends upon what you mean by escape velocity? If you mean where it advances faster than we can comprehend, aka the Singularity, I think you are looking in the 2050s or 2060s for that.
If you mean where it is growing at an exponential rate, I think we are already there. The pace of many innovations is truly impressive. We are operating on the positive feedback loop whereby each advanced level is a higher starting point for the next innovation.
