The price of lumber coming down. Does that mean we are in a deflationary environment since the run up in that commodity for a few months was a sign of hyperinflation.

I don't think so. In my opinion, the chart was looking for a correctly since the price of lumber jumped by a lot. I think it was like 4 times more expensive or what not. In the short term, I still see rates going up due to people's view of the interest rates.

There has been widespread illegal (or barely legal) logging in my country since the fall of the iron curtain, I think that speaks for itself when it comes to the value of lumber
