It is certainly a step in the right direction and opening up the door to more people and opportunities. It is going to come down to the marketing they do as well as what is available on there.
We really need to get some marketplaces taking off. It is a use case that is badly needed in crypto.

They arent going to implement Hive tokens. We are too small and really havent created a dependable protocol. Hive Engine really doesnt cut it.

Hive tokens lack liquidity . If you saw certain products , they are like 50$ . If they sell 3 of them and have 150$ worth say POB , they can't sell them at all for Hive or other tokens at the same price .

Yesterday we did two rooms. It put us over the 565 minimum level that we seek to keep on pace for 17,500 comments for the month. So we were able to cushion a bit after being down for 4 or 5 days.

Hard to lose tokens when it is all on the blockchain (BSC). They will never disappear, just be moved around. As long as you dont send them somewhere like swapping in a pool, then they are there for you.

I think part of the solution is to have a diverse news/research set. When I lived in Europe, I was surprised at how the same story in the US had a different slant in the EU. "Anti-war protesters" in NY, became "Peace Activists" in Berlin. "Officer Involved Shooting" in Chicago, became "Police Shooting" in London. "Improvised Explosive Device" in DC, became "Homemeade Bomb" in Rome.

I learned a lot when I worked as an overnight janitor for the summer at a newspaper.
The old-timers would show me how they would spin a story to acheive a desired outcome. Little things such as choosing an unflattering picture of someone they didn't like in order to subtly turn the reader against the person.
I still recall the pic they published of a politician with his eye squeezed shut as he was yawning. They had plenty of good pics available, but delibratlty chose that one to undercut his message.

We are looking upon a total decentralization of things to the point where centralized entities are not going to remain for long. It will take a few decades but many are going to fall by the wayside before our eyes.

I am not talking about those who are in 25-30 years age group because they have to read python , R and SQL for say data analyst jobs but there are people who graduated in 2005-10 who are masters of SQL alone .

I think a longer post and comment consumes more Resource credits. But I am not sure how much it affects the amount it takes. However I believe 1 long comment will take less than 2 mid-sized or short comments.

If you look at your account on hiveblocks at the Resource Credits section, it tells you what each action costs:

These numbers will rise as you pause throughout the day.
Think of it as Mana in a videogame. Everything you do on Hive has a cost in resource credits and you're not giving yours a chance to recover.

Thanks for your answer, but I visit HiveBlocks often, like more than 10 times per day, to see specifically how much Voting Mana, Downvoting Mana, and Resource Credits I still have. 😅 I know that the Voting (and Downvoting) Mana and Resource Credits regenerate at exactly 20% per day, added every 3 seconds. 😁
I'm pretty sure they do. I believe @amr008 has told me so once.

Yes it does . That is why not all comments take same amount of RC . The amount of bytes is taken into consideration while calculating RC .

D.Buzz uses #HiveOnboard to allow users to signup for free. HiveOnboard requires registrants to provide a phone number though. 🤔

The only way I know to create a free Hive account is to use the #Ecency signup page (subject to availability), unless I have Account Creation Tokens. 🙂

No I am at 4.25k HP right now . It will take a lot of time for me to get to 6k unless I decide to invest some fiat .

I don't know why #BlockTrades still charges 4.1 HIVE just to have a new Hive account created by them for you.
According to Hive.io's signup page (whose screenshot is above), BlockTrades charges $1 for account creation, but 4.1 HIVE is still far from $1 (even with the price dip happening with HIVE and most other crypto right now). 🤯

Paying 5.1 HIVE gives you a Hive account with 1 HIVE in it, so that translates to 4.1 HIVE for a Hive account without any included HIVE. 🕵️♂️😅

If it requires a phone number to signup, then I don't think it is practically "free". 😔 If it requires a Twitter account to join, I don't think it is easy. 😟 #Ecency requires just an email address, where everyone uses several of them for personal, work/school, gaming, junk, etc. 🤔

I know the seller can make their own price, but at least whoever manages the Hive.io signup page should change the account creation fee to 4.1 HIVE (instead of $1) to avoid surprising any user wanting to create a new Hive account through #BlockTrades. 🤔🙂

I think it only checks for similar comments. I think he just uses an API and runs the comments through it to find and duplicates and remove them from total to get unique comments.

According to @amr008, his bot considers two comments (from the same user) "duplicate" if they have "70% similarity". 🕵️♂️😁
The similar comments is for those comments which match 70% of your any other comment .

This is so important. I tend to stay away from projects where "Insider" share is more than 20%. It should be 'ZERO' imo and they should have something like Decentralized Fund that would help them to develop it further.

I don't think so. In my opinion, the chart was looking for a correctly since the price of lumber jumped by a lot. I think it was like 4 times more expensive or what not. In the short term, I still see rates going up due to people's view of the interest rates.
