Does a long post consume more Resource Credits than a shorter one? πŸ€” Does the same apply to comments too? πŸ€”πŸ€”

As always, thanks in advance for your answers! 😁

I think a longer post and comment consumes more Resource credits. But I am not sure how much it affects the amount it takes. However I believe 1 long comment will take less than 2 mid-sized or short comments.

Thanks for your reply! πŸ˜€

That's what I already assumed before I asked the question, but I just wanted to be sure. 😁

If you look at your account on hiveblocks at the Resource Credits section, it tells you what each action costs:

comment 1.1M
vote 0.07M
transfer 0.18M

Yours is here:
https://hiveblocks.com/@savvyplayer

Your voting power is at 83.61%
Your downvote power is at 6.40%
your resource credits are at 41.08%

These numbers will rise as you pause throughout the day.

Think of it as Mana in a videogame. Everything you do on Hive has a cost in resource credits and you're not giving yours a chance to recover.

I know exactly what Resource Credits are, but my question is whether a long post/comment will consume more Resource Credits than a shorter one. πŸ˜…

Thanks for your answer, but I visit HiveBlocks often, like more than 10 times per day, to see specifically how much Voting Mana, Downvoting Mana, and Resource Credits I still have. πŸ˜… I know that the Voting (and Downvoting) Mana and Resource Credits regenerate at exactly 20% per day, added every 3 seconds. 😁

I'm pretty sure they do. I believe @amr008 has told me so once.

@amr008 has just made his answer at https://leofinance.io/@amr008/re-savvyplayer-dyuuw, which summarizes that the longer your comment (or post), the more Resource Credits are consumed upon posting. πŸ˜€

Great stuff. He really knows his stuff

Yes it does . That is why not all comments take same amount of RC . The amount of bytes is taken into consideration while calculating RC .

Thanks for your answer! πŸ˜ƒ

Anyway, does a post cost more Resource Credits than a comment with exactly the same content (and tags)? πŸ€”πŸ˜…

No no see for blockchain both posts and comments are one and the same .

Thanks for the fast answer! 😁

I thought before that posts always cost more than comments, but that was because posts are normally longer than comments! πŸ˜…

It makes sense. The more you do, the more your are charged in RCs.
