Yes it does . That is why not all comments take same amount of RC . The amount of bytes is taken into consideration while calculating RC .

I thought before that posts always cost more than comments, but that was because posts are normally longer than comments! 😅
It makes sense. The more you do, the more your are charged in RCs.
