How long until we see athletes starting to opt for artificial limbs over the real thing?
People will do anything to get ahead and if there are some leagues that start to accept athletes with them, I wouldnt be surprised if people volunteered for them.
Strange world but technology will be embraced in many different ways.

That would be an interesting development in sport. Imagine someone just opts out completely and submits a robot in place of them 🤣

Yea if it gives them an unfair advantage then why not. Maybe there will be a different league created just for it in the future.

I think that robots could compete alongside humans, but there would be some subtle changes in the rules.... like having to do an internet captcha challenge as a relay. You can just imagine the crowds waiting in anticipation as a robot tries to identify all the fire hydrants in the picture frame while the desperate humans are still 500 metres behind sprinting to catch up!

Some are of the mindset all should be legal. It is like the PED things. Many feel let them do it. If it is open to all, then the playing field is level on that end.
There is a bit of logic to it. If some are going to cheat, make it legal and let everyone do it. Then the advantage is negated.

I'm in favor of that. I think that there should be a league just for enhanced athletes where anything goes: artificial limbs, drugs, uniforms made out of special tissue, and all that.

Might as well make an entire section just for robotics and only the brain is alive. Might make for an interesting match up.
