Thank you for telling me to read this news. I found it very interesting and it's incredible how advanced Xiaomi is in this project with the creation of new smartphones without human use.
It is a dark factory. No need for people in it, thus no need for lights.
We could be looking at the future of manufacturing.
I went to check this out and was really excited about what they can do from now on.
It will be a big saving since you won't need to spend on salaries and energy.
It is. That is why it is deflationary. The downside is people lose their jobs.
I have a feeling this is going to happen across the economy. Robotics is going to really cause a lot of disruption in the job market.
Unfortunately, #ai is going to come in first.
That's what I thought about it too. There will be a lot of unemployment, because when these automations become quite common in the job market, I wonder what these people will do to support their families.
I may be wrong, but perhaps Musk already predicted this and he already mentioned something similar as a "social wage" because with machines taking up a large part of jobs, this may be necessary.
