Right, there is a need for some kind of smart contract capability. We're getting closer to this becoming a reality.
Once we have that, I am hopeful the development will explode as devs has more access to what they need.
Another 4-6 months perhaps.
I thought that Hive Engine already has smart contracts. Literally this is what is written on its website: "Create Tokens + Smart Contracts on the Hive Blockchain".
