We are calling in immediate family to come in from different parts of the country to come see Dad, because time is ticking.
Plus side, my kids will be here for Thanksgiving! I haven't seen them in over a year!

Had almost this exact same situation not too long ago.
Savor the moments.
I have had the blessed opportunity to be here helping them for the last year. It's been extremely hard to watch the break down, but at least we have been able to squash old things and relive some happy memories.
Pretty much same here. Gave me some time to catch back up and get resolution and closure for both of us. Was a bad time but also some of the best times.
I see a wonderful family, your dad must be very proud and strong man. Only the best wishes and more life for everyone in the family man
