I like to do this with small amounts of Litecoin.
At this point it's easy to get people to download Trust Wallet on their phone.
So far the biggest problem with my strategy is that it takes too long for people to write down the 12 words.
I've been thinking about creating custom cards that already have the seed on it.
Would be cool if it was like a lotto ticket with a scratch-off key.
Really neat idea. I think the whole write down your 12 words will be a thing of the past for about 90% + of people. Most people lose their gmail password 3x times a year. We can't force these people to be hands-on with their private keys. We just have to keep innovating clever ways to give people from all walks of life a way to safely use the blockchain. We are still early days, but ideas like you just had are what I'm looking forward to.
Luckily a master password can be any string of characters.
Combined with account recovery this is quite powerful.
I also have a lot of ideas to help people remember their passwords.
All that being said Hive definitely needs trustworthy middle men to act as custodians for newer users who have less funds at stake. So far I think LeoFinance is doing a good job with Lite accounts. But we can all do better going forward.
As always, a voice of reason that's focused on Hive's sustainability in the long-term.

the part about getting people close to you to join hive resonates with me. This is the major point of discussion on hivenaija discord channel yesterday. It is easy to support, teach and help people close to you understand and use the blockchain effectively. This in turn helps distribute and also empowers people. Asides, earning a few tokens here and there, this is my major focus now.
The most important steps are the ones people neglect the most. Hive Power holders have an amazing innate ability to onboard people. With great power comes great responsibility. If network effect is a major indicator of a communities success" - we should be doing everything in our power to nurture the best network effect we possibly can.
I continue to tell my friends and family that WW3 started on the blockchain with the hostile takeover of steem. China is buying up the West to control free speech and most people don't seem to notice or don't seem to care that The Game is Rigged.

Haven't listened to one of your videos in a while, but I feel so motivated now to keep voting with my small stake. A lot of good points and I've been feeling lately that the upcoming hardfork is going to be a good turning point for this blockchain, I just hope it goes smoothly LOL 😆

To your advertisement point, 100% agree. After 10 years in marketing work, you know it's all about converting to buyers. It makes the Internet to a shithole of sponsored posts and hidden advertisements. Look at the Influencer market, all fake. It is the most retarded thing that ever happen.
Every article is an advertisement in some way. Backlinks, traffic, and so on. Affiliate marketing was the start.
This was something I like since the early days of the SMT idea. Because it fixes a big part of it if the people own the platform/token together. It's like a filter by humans for humans against scammy shit. True reputation. No fake.
To your onboarding idea by stakeholders, people are most time lazy. I would more prefer more stakeholders would reward/support more quality marketing work. This would catalyst faster IMO :) Special if marketers realize they can become big on web3 for onboarding massive :).
To reduce the short-term pain, I would have the idea stakeholders can convert up to 3% of Hivepower into HBD a week optional. So it would be something like a sale, but it isn't. It would stabilize the price of Hive and HBD. Also no phantom pressure to 100% in HP holders. And the stablecoin would be used more :)

the problem is also there is a company "Hive Blockchain" and unfortunately if you search for hive on google, you find this company before Hive on the results. SEO of some Hive is not really the best. Of course there are other search terms where Hive is way better. And since we are a good blogging platform with a lot of different topics we can gain good google search results on a lot of different search words.
This is where front-ends can really help. peakd, leofinance, stemgeeks etc. The more niche, the easier to find in results. Tokenized communities are the future of Hive imo, and will be a blackhole for network effects. Until then, weird haircut phase

Everyone is doing great by there end. I have joined more than 10 peoples but 2or 4 are active now. Most of them want to be rich in a dat but that can't be.
I help the new user my simply delegating 10 hp of minimum for 1 month its a lot time to earn hp for posting and commenting. Been busy these with work didn't have enough time to do that recently.
hive is a long term investment for sure
I have made my friends to invest few hive not that much but that what they can spend right now.
Here not all are familiar with cryto. It really yard to make them understand.
I hope they will invest more after there first environment.

I was transferring my HIVES in the amount of 694.289 to my exchange huobi-pro last night in doing so I forget to put my memo address for my exchange and these HIVES have ended up in a @ecency account which has the same name as my exchange, would you know of this @huobi-pro account on @ecency they seem to be quite a large account on @ecency

You should write to Huobi support and ask for help as your funds already transferred to them and if they don't know memo they don't know which account on Huobi sent those funds. Write them with transaction/screenshots.

I want to bring a YouTuber who specializes in Crypto currency here.
