When we were deciding which messaging app or interface to use for our project communications Discord was the one that was most convenient. I'm no fan of Discord, mind you, but it works for now. Perhaps we'll move over to PeakD chat at some point, or even another, but we've got lots more to do before that possibility is viable.
Yep, true, though we'll cross that bridge when it becomes useful and necessary. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I wonder if #PeakD Chat was already available when you and @borniet became partners for developing Hive-based projects. 🤔🤓

Yep, it was, and it's one that I suggested, along with the Ecency chat, but he preferred Discord at the time. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Maybe it was because #PeakD Chat and #Ecency Chat were still only in testing phase during those times. 🤔🤯🤓

It wasn't very long ago, so I don't think that that was part of the reasoning. Discord also gives push notifications to phones, which makes seeing the messages quicker and easier. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Maybe it is because #PeakD Chat and #Ecency Chat are still only in testing phase during these times, which prevents you and him from transitioning to Web3 chat. 🤔🤯 One heavily-used feature in communication apps that is lacking is the support for voice (and video) calls. 🤯🤓

It was more just dependable and easy usage. If web3 chats met all of our needs, then sure, we'd likely move over there. Telegram is a good app for communication like that too, as encrypted chats can be set up, and it also does support video calls, both of which I've used many times. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I think that for communication using apps to be truly secure, encrypted chats should not be optional. 🤔
Encrypted (end-to-end) voice (and video) calls would indeed be cool. 😎
