Pizza day, Gridless, electricity

Yesterday, on 21th may I went at Politecnico of Torino in order to see the interview of Janet Maingi, co-founder of Gridless and her short film about the relationship between Africa and electricity.


Gridless is a #Bitcoin #mining farm that uses green power (hydro, geothermal, biomass) produced by local companies and insuring energy to nearest rural villages. It is a win-win-win experience driven by #Bitcoin. Gridless makes money with mining, local companies have a constant load, rural villages and people take advantage of electricity.

After this event, we went at Murazzi where a developer of BitBox spoke about self custody and the meaning of hard money versus fiat money.

It was a great experience at the anniversary of #PizzaDay: 21th May 2010 Lazlo paid two pizzas for 10.000BTC. It was the first transaction, the first value passing using hard money: #Bitcoin

After a 🍕 and a beer, the last speech was about values of Bitcoin. Both technical from cypherpunk and Austrian economy.
